My CX60 voice navigation does not work for iPo. My dealer agreed and started a case with Volvo. Volvo now said that’s how it works. so when I say poi and the car asks what song I would like. when I say I am hungry it brings ud sites in another state. To go to fm radio you need to know the call letters of a station or frequency. A few times I said go to a addres. It did not work. When I had a chance to stop and go into the settings it was set for New Mexico. But Volvo says that’s how it works.

What they don’t tell you

After 25 years of driving Volvo, I purchased the XC60, never had a problem with any of the models, except this one. After a few months, I was being left stranded with a vehicle I could not open or drive. The keys battery needed to be replaced every 3 months. Took it up with Volvo on numerous occasions, they just kept replacing the battery, got so bad that I needed to keep a spare on me at all times. Then the on/off starter battery sensor light came on, whilst me and my family were on vacation. Phoned Volvo, was told nothing to worry about, it would be reset with the upcoming service which was due in a month. Never reached that date, two weeks later a turtle pops up on my dash board telling me engine performance has been reduced. Luckily I was a kilometre away from home. Got her home switched off the ignition and that is where she stood. Would not start again. Phoned Volvo and they said they would need to assess the problem to determine the fault, not to mention I am 120kilometers away from the nearest Volvo. A single Mom, with not my best vehicle but my only vehicle. Their only response was, sorry the vehicle needs to come to us. Contacted roadside assistance, on arrival it was discovered that one cannot disengage the park brake if the engine is not running, another dilemma, it can’t be towed, it’s AWD, it can’t be loaded because the engine can’t start and the brakes can’t be disengaged. It’s stuck in park. Phone Volvo again, told sorry, you need some tool to disengage it can only be done by a Volvo dealership. Eventually arrange for dollies. Jack the car up, so we can get it onto the breakdown. 4 hours later my vehicle is finally on its way to Volvo. Go onto Google as a matter of interest and boy am I shocked, the amount of people that have had the same thing happen to them, some with horrific stories of how their vehicles also went into limp mode, whilst driving. Turns out it is a common problem with the XC60 2018 model, one that Volvo does not inform its potential buyers. I for 1 was never informed nor anyone else that I know of, that bought an XC60. Volvo apparently is working on the problem, my question is, why have these vehicles never been recalled, or clients notified of the problem, which clearly is a manufacturers fault, these vehicles are being sold under false pretences if that’s the case, and clients having to fork the bill and time for their negligence. I was notified my vehicle had arrived at the Volvo dealership, but now 24 hrs later still no further communication. So I think my Volvo days are over. I as a single Mom, cannot take this kind of risk, driving an unreliable vehicle with a massive safety risk attached to it
