Highway to mountains
I spent months looking for the perfect blend of "go any where ability, performance handling and speed, towing capacity (business expense), front leg room, and all with a luxury interior. No other vehicle comes close in the price range. The Touareg is every bit the vehicle as the Cheyene S for about $17,000 less. Can't wait to trade mine in for the V10 Diesel.

Love My Touareg
My Touareg is a terrific looker, bold, strong, bright and Colorado Red. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't remark about how sharp she looks. She is comfortable, solid and well built. The ride is great, she handles well, just hugs the road. Visibility is good. So far she has been great in snow and I drive from NH to FL with less fatigue. The sound system is quite good, everything works and I have not had anything go wrong. I love my Touareg!!
VW's Secret
This is not your father's VW. It accelerates like a sports car with the luxury of any top European sedan. It also has the convenience of having the road view of an SUV enabling the driver to see far down the highway. Like many SUV's you may take it off road. My off road experience has been limited to date but I do know that mud and snow are easily accessible. This is my fifth SUV and I do not think of it as an SUV at all. I think many men will buy this as a family car and end up wanting it to be their very own.
perfect
this is the best car i drive in my life very good power, very good suspencion, the triptronic transmission works perfect, the intirior is very nice and luxury, the air suspencion is the best
hot new touareg
this is the best car i have ever owned.. performance and handling are outstanding ... the only drawbacks are: - the v6 is slightly under powered 0- 60, tough very robust from 30-100, - it sucks down gasoline.
Over engineered
VW has come late to the SUV market, great design, good funtion and a surperb off road vehicle. Here is what they do not tell you about the 2004 SUV of the year! Electronics are overengineered as it relates to warning drivers on a faulty tire presure system, seat belt chimes that do not allow drivers to leave the car running with out being cherped to death, radio's with on-board map system must be cleared everytime you start the car by excepting the disclaimer "release/acceptance" button! Something to look forward to for as long as you have your vehicle. One of the best dummy warnings is the airbag warning, buzzer, then bell/chimes to tell you it is off
Luxury and ruggedness in one
This thing has been great both on and off road. Very reliable and comfortable. I looked at a lot of luxury SUVs in this class and as far as ride comfort and interior material quality this is by far the best. Towing capacity is great for a vehicle this size. If you dont need third row seating, this is the vehicle to get.
Touareg review.
My touareg has been great. I've owned it since June 2003 so I had one of the first ones out there. While I never had anything worse than minor software issues, some have had serious problems. All I can say is this truck is worth a little bit of hassle. It's fairly exclusive, you won't see yourself coming down the road. And the luxury and build quality exceeds BMW and Mercedes, it's really on a par with Audi. In fact, I sold my Audi A8 because what's the point of owning two luxury vehicles. Also, I over 6000lbs of trailer for several hours at a time with zero issues. It's been near perfect for us...there's no other SUV we'd consider (except a V10 Touareg!).
2005 Volkswagen Touareg V8
This vehicle has been trouble free for me, a concern with so many electronic/mechanical options, so that is good. Build quality is very good, seams are tight, everything fits well. The interior is very upscale and impresses everyone. The sound of the V8 is very sporty, many have made comments on that. The downside, the navigation system lacks detail, street names ect. I am hoping for an software update-please hear me VW! It works fine though in a basic way. The rear seat could use a little more footroom and headroom. My brother, who is a large guy, says it's hard to get in and out of,either front or back. I love the sporty driving, towing ability, acceleration and looks.
