Love it way more than I thought I would
It gets better fuel mileage than they say - keep it between 60-65 on highway and usually gets 40+ mpg which astonishes me given the size of the car. Have had only one repair and it was the front sensor for the adaptive cruise went out so I could not use the cruise on one trip. Its not perfect as I think it is a little noisier than it has to be but my last sedan was an LS430 so my comparison isnt equal. It looks more expensive than its price suggests and the contrast piping on the seats really dresses them up. Overall, could not be more pleased with the purchase - glad I did not cave and settle on an entry level SUV -

Great buy on new 2017 Passat
The dealer had a new 2017 Passat left in 2018 so it was marked down 10grand.Paid 19,000 for a very nice car.Drives excellent, really nice technology.Passat drives like a much more expensive German luxury sedan.Looks great with bright LED headlights, nice rims, and a classy look.I have driven Camry and Accord which are very nice cars but the Passat feels more solid and the safety ratings are excellent.

Nice, Nice, Nice
Outstanding value and quality! My wife had a 2013 Passat TDI which she sold back to VW. After looking around at other brands she decided she missed the Passat style, room and driving quality. A new red Passat was located at a Seattle dealership and after a few phone conversations the deal was made and at a great price. I flew down and drove the vehicle back up to AK (2300 mi). I thought I'd miss the TDI grunt but the TSI is very impressive...good acceleration, smooth and mpg in the high 30's. I would recommend the Passat to anyone looking for a mid size car! (UPDATE} After two and half years of ownership all is good we are still very happy with the Passat. It has 30K on it now and still looks and drives like new. I did miss the diesel TDI though so I found a 2014 Beetle TDI (6 speed stick) in AZ that VW put back on the market. It doesn't get the mpg it did prior to the mod but did get 39-42 mpg on the drive to AK (3700 mi). Boy is it fun to drive!!!

Great car except wheel and axles
So I have had SUVs and trucks for most of my life, decided to try and change it up. This vehicle is great for those like myself w/a heavy foot. I will list MAIN Pros and Cons that aren't so much based on personal preference but on popular preferences: Pros: Gray leather interior Easy to clean interior Simple to use and reliable tech hook up Long lasting oil changes Quick and nicely maneuvering Sun/Moon roof Nice trunk space Lighting inside and out is amazing Heated seats Quiet idle Cons: Loud driving no matter what tires change Its FWD & my front tires always ended up terrible worn and more often replacements needed Easily dents on exterior Not a lot of space/room in front between driver and passenger No a big enough center console Easily stains everywhere with cleaning difficult on areas that aren't made of hard material Hard to get sideviews exactly right or just designed with poor angle visibility options Gas mileage mediocre at best
