'06 Passat Appraisal

With only 3,000 miles to date. I am averaging 26.5 pg, and 31.8 on highway during two long trips at higher speed. Wind seems to affect the Passat somewhat, steering in the wind seems affected but otherwise this car has excellent center weighting and response. Its acceleration is outstanding and its seat comfort once adjusted is excellent during long trip. This car is fun to drive, has smooth acceleration and good brakes. Mine has a few nagging issues, but nothing significant. The cup holders are not sized for to American cups or bottles. Its storage is quite good with several small storage areas or drawers.

I just picked up my Artic Blue Silver 2006 2.0T Passat with Luxury Package 2. It is a dynamite vehicle. I test drove the Honda Accord, and it felt "vanilla." I'm so glad that I purchased the Passat. It has a solid feel on the road, the 6th gear really helps quiet the engine (rpm's) on the highway. I haven't heard any wind noise at 65 mph +. I think that is due to the Dynaudio system which is top-notch! Driving at night with the guages (red/blue) is nice. All of the buttons and touch points are solid!

The Volkswagen Passat 2.0T is a great car and have owned BMWs, Mercedes, Hondas, Lincolns, and more. It has very spacious leg room, heated seats, and huge headroom. My son is 6'6" and it has enough legroom for him and can even fit a body behind him. It has a great sunroof and more. Its gas mileage is excellent plus it provides great airbag protection.

The Passat is an excellent car to own. It has incredible quality, a roomy interior, and lots of power. It's like owning a much higher priced car and it's so fun to drive.
