A great car so far. The design and engineering are terrific for the price. Car drives well and has quite a few features for the price.

I just sold my Audi 4000S which I had for 19 years. I was nervous about getting this New Beetle, but I took the plunge. Three months and 5,300 miles later, I am so delighted with it. Even though it has plenty of power, people do not expect it to be a hill climber or a speeder, and so I think it is cut some slack surveillance-wise.

I have read the other reviews and I would have to disagree with the negative comments! This car is great. The first mistake they did was buying the GLS 2.0. That is only bad model of the New Beetle. It is gutless. The GLX 1.8T on the otherhand is fast!!! Great car! Thank you Volkswagen!!!

Just traded way down from my Porsche Targa to my new '03 Beetle Turbo S. We LOVE it! Goes like the dickens and I feel like a better citizen as well. Nobody hates Beetle drivers...EVERYBODY hates Porsche drivers.
