Used 1999 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan Consumer Reviews
My Wolfsburg
I recently bought this car and so far it has been a very reliable car and is extremly fun to drive. The car has nice performance and is very easily upgradable.
A Huge Disappointment!!
Within 2 months, my O2 sensor needed replacing. Then I had a brake light that refused to flicker but stayed on. Thank god I was still under warranty! Less than a year later, my speedometer dropped and after two diagnostic tests, it was revealed I need a new instrument cluster. Soon after another O2 sensor was required. Then, following the O2 sensor recall, I was back in the shop for a Mass Air Flow sensor replacement. Also, the metal under my backseat window moldings began rusting within 2 years. Overall, you're better putting your money into KMart than a 99 GL Jetta.
I like this car
When I bought this car (still under warranty), I had few problems like oxygen sensor not workng, My indicator light sensors not working and the major was catalytic convertor failure. But, volkswagen paid for the catlytic convertor cost. Apart from it, I really never had any major breakdowns. So far so good. I wan't to kepp it till its wheels falls off. Lets see how it goes.
NICE!!!
I KNOW CARS AND THIS CAR IS GREAT ITS FAST AND ITS JUST FUN TO DRIVE. ITS JUST A DIFFERENT FEELING WHEN U DRIVE IT.. I LOVE IT. VR6 IS GREAT
Buy a Honda
This is the worst car I've ever owned. Almost every interior feature has broken, I've replaced a major engine part annually, and the warranty is a joke. Yes, it handles well, and yes, the body's nice, but beyond that this car has nothing to offer. Unless you want a car that's expensive to maintain and constantly in the shop, buy a Honda.
