This car is very very reliable. I have 82,000 miles on it and hope to get 82,000 more since I like it so much and don't know what I could replace it with. I love driving it. I love the way it grips the road. After 8 years the interior still looks great too.

This Jetta is my first car. Plus, it's got me hooked on European cars. It's 8 years old and it runs better than the 2002 Honda my parents drive. I've never had to fix anything mechanical on the car. The only problems I have had with it was the little lights burning out. But that's fixed now. I'm glad I got it instead of the Civic I was looking at. It's ten times faster and built a lot better.

The GLX VR6 has great acceleration, roomy for its size, handles great in rain and snow. It was very hard to lose control on the snow ( and I was trying ). Not so good for a family car but I can fit 2 car seats in the back comfortably. This car is an all around tank, I put this car through some crazy situations and it always comes out on top. Pricey to maintain but well worth every penny. I cant wait to buy my next VW. Oh I almost forgot....the 95 GLX VR6 was not built to be sold in America so everything is special order, I found out the hard way.

Overall not to shaby a ride. My two biggest problems are that the seat is horrible. My lower back hurts after just a short ride. Any longer my right leg might go numb. Bad lumbar support system!!! My other complaint is that I live on a hill and a steep one at that. I find that the car strugles to climb my hill. I have to floor the car and slug it uo the hill. Fast on the highway but a pain on any incline! From what I hear an extended warranty might be a god idea!

I love my '95 Jetta. It was my first car, I got it while I was in High School. I had some problems with it but we got them fixed. Now I'm about to trade in my '95 for a '02 Jetta GLS. They are wonderful cars.
