Wonderful car for a cold, snowy climate.

2023 Honda HR-V
We live in location where you expect winter to last five months. We just started driving the car in January. We purchased the HRV Sport model because it has heated cloth seats which are much faster to warm up than the cold, heated leather seats of more expensive models. The car comes with a soft-grip heated steering wheel and it performs amazingly well. No more cold fingers clenching a … hard plastic, frozen wheel. The car’s heating system is superior to other vehicles we’ve driven. This AWD car handles well in snow and ice. The windshield washer works beautifully even in the coldest temperatures. Our washer fluid is good to minus 35. The backup camera is extremely helpful when reversing into snowbanks and Apple Car Play is a must in every new vehicle. The sight lines in the car are excellent even for taller drivers. Is the car slow? Don’t really know as 90 per cent of the time we are driving the car in crowded urban areas with high traffic volumes. The pick up is more than adequate for city environs. The manually adjusted front seats are comfortable although we have yet to take the car on a long summer drive. The car is quiet and handles well. The cargo space is more than adequate for a week’s groceries. Overall the car feels upscale for an entry level vehicle. The Mazda 30 rivals the interior quality of the HRV but its poor sight lines are a deal breaker. Sure the Mazda 30 has better pickup but we prefer to see where we are going as well as not hit our head on the roof while wondering if traffic lights, hidden by a sharply sloping windshield, have turned green. Overall the HRV is a joy to drive and exceeds our expectations of what new cars offer today’s customers.
