Don't listen to what people say they honestly sleep on the Tundra! I was blown away at the deal that I got, I got the TRD and SR5 Upgrade Package for around $40,000. Lots of power with the V8, and decent fuel economy with almost 64,000 miles (16.2 mpg) and I have plenty of room when I'm driving (I stand at 6'2") I was originally considering a Tacoma but the bigger Tundra was a better deal in my opinion. I got a spray in bed liner, deck rail system and blind spot monitor. Best truck I've ever owned!

$2300 ABS Failure within 3 years

Electronic Braking Controller Failure after three years and <80k miles. This is about 10% of the trade in value of the vehicle. Based on web searched, these brake controller issues seems to be systemic with Tundras with many owners waiting for a recall. Often problem can be solved with a cheaper fix but dealers insist on replacing the most expensive part.

This Tundra crewmax is my 4th Tundra I've had over the years. I've had an 2005, 2007, 2009, and now a 2016. I think it may be my last mostly due the the crappy "Scout Navigation". Most all of my tundras have been used for towing our boats and had the actual gps style navigation but I was told this new style is very similar only better...WRONG! I didn't like it but It worked ok for a couple of local boat trips and noticed it would pause sometimes. We went on an extended trip to South Carolina trusting the "Scout" app would guide us. One thing to note, there is no detailed map to follow, we only had a turn list and arrows. On the main highway it all seemed fine but when we went on the country roads we noticed it paused causing us to miss a couple turns then it told us to turn on roads that were not on the screen. We thought we found our way back on track then the navigation completely stopped telling us when and where to turn and we were officially very lost! We didn't know how long we'd been driving and at what point it stopped telling us directions so we didn't know where to go back to. We attempted to look at Google and navigation apps on both our phones to try to find our way back but we didn't know what road we were even on. We also had no cell service so we couldn't call anyone for help. Due to following the app like it was a gps system I wasn't paying attention to where we were. I was really feeling we wouldn't find our way out of these country roads in the middle of no where in SC that we had never been before and let me say doing a U-turn on a narrow country road pulling a 25’ boat is NOT an option. After finally getting back home and not being happy at all with our experience I looked at my window sticker and it said I had Entune system. I thought OK that's the problem! So I downloaded the Entune app and tried to connect it over and over, even scanned the vin. The Entune app said I don't have that option so now I'm back to square one again. So I sent a text to management telling him I loved the truck but I wasn't happy about the lack of navigation he said I had to buy another truck!! Now my awesome boat is for sale mostly due to not having a working navigation when my trucks are for working I need it to WORK! Before you say I need to get a dash mounted gps, talk to my cousin that has brain damage from an accident that the dash mounted gps hit him in the head when he was rear ended. I paid A LOT of money for this truck just to have this happen then to have Courtesy Toyota basically say I bought it it's my problem.
