I love this SUV .Have had 3 4runners, Acura mdx among many other vehicles. Last year We sold our dodge mega cab 2500 diesel and bought a crv. Last year we bought a boat and with several vehicles in our family already with kids driving we decided a used Tahoe or Yukon might be a option. We checked out the older sequoias however the power & towing stats on the 08 sequoia were impressive. We found a used sr5 with nearly all the options we wanted and fell in love with the car. Dream to drive..be realistic about the mileage ..it is what you would expect with the size and power..if mileage is your hang up you will want to pass. If you want power, space reliability and pure fun then give it a shot!

This vehicle is one of the best (if not the best) full size three row SUV's. There's nothing really like this SUV. I've driven this vehicle everywhere throughout the country. I've taken it from the Midwest to the Pacific and back. Throughout the trips/journeys I've taken (and in general), it has always been comfortable, spacious, powerful/capable and reliable. It has NEVER had any major problems and has NEVER stranded me. As time goes on, my Sequoia will gain a lot more miles, but It'll stay the reliable workhorse I know it for. You can't say the same thing for an Escalade or a Navigator. Those are good SUV's but you do worry about reliability. They're great in the short term but questionable in long term ownership. The way I've maintained my Sequoia since 2008 can also be a reason why this is still around. I even use 87 octane (regular fuel) in this and it runs like brand new. Just doing normal maintenance keeps your cars ever lasting long. I would recommend this over any other three row full size SUV. Despite having the SR5, it's has held up strong and reliable.

Great for travel and always reliable

This is a nice ride even on rough roads. The 4WD allows me to get in and out of just about anywhere. Great for travel and always reliable. I owned a land rover before this and I only miss the heated front windshield. This has more plastic than my 06 which makes the interior look cheep for a SUV of this price. The seats in my 06 are more comfortable for a small person...especially on the passengers side.

The Sequoia is a great interstate cruiser, comfortable, easy to drive and plenty of power when you need it. Plenty of room for people and cargo and got 21.1 mpg going from Delaware to AZ. I have taken it off-road several times with no problems.

Best value for a hard-earned buck

I can't believe I paid more for my 02 Sequoia with less options than my 08. There was never a problem with my old one. I just couldn't resist upgrading to the current year and boy, what a deal! The power, the comfort, the features, the Toyota reliability, and then the price. It has the only excellent editor rating which I was skeptical but hands down, definitely the best buy if you're in a market for this type of SUV. Do your research, test drive them all, check the price, and the reliability. Why pay twice as much for a Land Cruiser or a Lexus LX? BTW, this Sequoia is made in the USA.
