This is from a test drive. I decided to give this a chance based on reviews and reliability scores. There were definitely some good things. For instance, I thought the front seats were comfortable. The acceleration is completely adequate and it maneuvers fine. It had the best rear cargo area of all the SUV's I tested. The low lift height is great if you have heavy objects to load. Safety features like lane assist worked as tested. Now on to the negatives- 1)Engine Noise and Transmission shifting-I just didn't like the shifting on the transmission. The vehicle whined and IMO reached too high RPM's for the gears, it was quite noisy. Louder than any other vehicle I've test driven this year (Ford, Chevy, and Hyundai for instance) 2)Technology-besides the safety features it was a let down. The info center is very dated and the radio was mediocre. The LE only had one USB port while just about any other SUV will have three times as many. Unfortunately I don't think the Toyota powertrains and interiors are for me. This will probably be the last time I give them a chance.

I liked the looks. I liked the interior. BUT, when I tried to get comfortable and set the drivers seat to where I like the cruise control jammed me in the thigh. Who puts a cruise control in the 5-O-clock position on a steering column behind the wheel? DEAL BREAKER! Not to mention the dealer itself was very shady with it's advertising and pricing. (Gatorland Toyota) Another deal breaker.

Don’t test drive this car unless you are ready to find your dream car! I love everything about this car, not only is it a great family car - it also can be very fun to drive!

Had I known how illogically the Navigation is designed and/r recognized how truly pathetic, time-wasting, erratic and inaccurate the voice recognition (voice-garbling would be more precise) is, I would have shopped elsewhere. As phoning now requires hands-free under penalty of arrest, and I must often be on the phone for work, the system is costing me income. I checked with the dealer and it cannot be altered. So-called voice-training increased the accuracy from roughly 10% to <15%. If this joke of technology is not upgraded this lease will truly be over in every respect when it ends. The technology is so bad and so important gthat it degrades the experience too dramatically. Buyer Beware!!!!!!

They will be greatly surprised by the comfort and dependability of Toyota vehicles! We have got a 2000Tundra and a 2009Camry LE and a 2001Echo all these have been totally awesome and I love my new RAV4 LE ! I tell everyone I know and work with about the quality of every single one of our vehicles and service quality we get . No mager problem out of any of the ones we own.
