Used 2007 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
Best bang for the buck
I had an Audi A3 AWD V6, which was too small for what I wanted so I traded it in for a RAV4 V6 4WD. Although these two vehicles are in different classes, the RAV4 is just as quick and fast as the A3, but offers more room for cargo and passengers. You can't beat the room that the RAV offers and you certainly can't beat the price. Although I do miss the heated seats on the A3, I don't miss anything else.
Be careful with the spare tire cover
We got our RAV4 in 7/2007 and since then we haven't have any problem at all. There are two areas where the 2007 design failed: 1) The rear bumper upper part is too exposed to scratches during loading/unloading. 3) At winter ice forms between the spare tire and the rear bumper. That ice eventually tends to damage the rear bumper. 2) the spare tire cover was removed during a car wash and totally ruined. Someone mentioned that TOYOTA said only they know of one case... that is simply not true, it is pretty common and a big design flaw. After 2007 they changed the design of the car cover.

Red 2007 RAV4
I bought my RAV4 in December and the whether got bad the minute I left the lot (literally the first snowflakes fee as I pulled onto the road). The car drove like a dream on both wet and snow covered roads. The heated seats and self-dimming mirror are great! As the motor gets broken in my milage is moving up. I love this car!
Love my RAV4
Bought my car 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be more happy. It is fun to drive, has great visability, smooth, smooth brakes, unbelievable pickup with the V-6, and great looks too! I also test drove the Honda CR-V and while it has nice looks this year it doesn't offer a V-6 or bluetooth which I have found to be a must buy if you can afford them. I look forward to many fun years of driving this great car.
Poor MPG
If you're considering the RAV4 for it's great milage, consider this... I travel 60 hwy miles, and another 20 on rural roads daily. My ave hwy speed is 72, and I'm no leadfoot around town, either. With this mix, I should be getting 25MPG consistently. After 4000 miles traveling the same daily route, my RAV4 averages 21.5MPG. One tank gets 19, the next, 23, and the next 21.5. Dealer says there's nothing wrong. So, if you're considering sacreficing the roominess and comfort of a larger SUV to get better milage with a RAV, think twice.
