Used 2006 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
Loved our Rav
Our Rav was one of the best cars we've owned and we were so impressed on Toyota that when we needed a larger vehicle we bought a Sienna. The interior was so cool and everything was well placed and plenty of compartments to put stuff. Great car!
Love it
The only negative I have with my RAV is the roof rack, it's a real pita when it comes to washing the car. Were it an option I would have opted out!

What a Blast
Head snapping acceleration. Being 6'3" I find there is plenty of room front and back. Just a joy to drive! The standard stereo could be better. The display panel on the stereo and time/temp is impossible to read w/sunglasses on.
Could Be Better
Ride is too rough and bumpy/ Highway noise very loud on most pavements..have to raise volume on radio/ Paint job inadequate...peels off very easily especially around bumper and fenders/ Gas mileage: 16mpg all city driving... alot of stop and go and between 24 and 27 on highway at 65 to 70mph/ Problems with steering column (Replaced)/ Hard to handle when passing another vehicle on highway...wants to go out of control/ I am just waiting to build some equity on this vehicle to buy something else.
$mart Choice
Purchased vehicle new w/ leather, sunroof, JBL, 30 months/21K ago. Choice was based primarily on "return of investment" having shopped for used versions (CRV/RAV) realizing their high resale values. I am still pleased with my choice, my RAV is roomy, rattle free, comfortable, easy to live with, nimble, relatively quiet, dependable, versatile and averaging 23 mpg in mixed driving. Sure I see more exciting, faster, sexier choices out there (I still struggle with the tire on the back) but whether hauling 4 adults to the airport, 3 dogs to the groomer or 30 bags of mulch I am hard pressed to find another vehicle that comes close to doing them all as well. The RAV has been a $mart choice.
