Used 2000 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
After 2 1/2 years but only 14000 miles..
It is very sporty and handles like a sports car. After 2 1/2 years, but only 14000 miles, I know why we drive the 98 Expedition everywhere. The ride is not very comfortable, and on the open highway, the kids in the back seat were scared for the first month because they felt like they were riding in the back of an old pickup. It is loud and has lots of wheel and highway noise. Also, there are 3 loud and irritating trim or structural rattles and noises that are relentless in all driving conditions. It is great for around town, but after 2 1/2 years, it's not for me.
Couldn't be Happier
We watched Rav from day-one. In 2000, my husband surprised me for my B-day with a RAV4L (ltd edition). I love the large windows & almost no blind spots; I sit up high enough for a birdseye view without needing a ladder to get in! I love the smaller steering wheel and it turns on a dime; park it anywhere. The mileage can't be beat for highway road trips; city isn't bad either. Seats are formed & back- supporting. Everything is at your fingertips. It's a dream to drive. I love my RAV4L, can you tell? Get metallic green!

Toyota RAV4 L
An overall wonderful small SUV. The build quality is rock solid. My experience with reliability has been excellent, I have never owned a vehicle so reliable. The engine and transmission work wonderfully, and the engine is suprisingly powerful for a 2.0 L.
Hands down the best car ive ever owned.
Bought this car with 110,000 miles it now has 171,000 and ive maybe put 300 bucks into it aside from tires. I drive it hard - in LA traffic 70 miles a day. It's been rock solid. Underpowered for sure but the only time that's ever annoying is going up a mountain... who cares. My last car was a 2009 Mazda3 and while it was faster and 'cooler' i gotta say that the rav has a more comfortable ride - especially on city roads... it gets the same gas mileage.. it has better visibility... better AC... its easier to park... maintenance and tires are way cheaper... and you can pop a curb if you need to. Maybe the best city car ever created. Oh yea and it's a 4 cylinder toyota it will run forever. I plan on spending money on some minor repairs soon but because i want to not because i need to... it would just keep running. I'm planning on 300,000 miles easy. BUY ONE.

Thanks Toyota for the fun reliable ride
Finally I own an SUV that does what is supposed to do - drive. I have had this RAV4 now for 2 years after purchasing it with quite a few miles already on it. I cannot tell enough how great it is to go out to my car everyday and not worry about getting where I need to go. I now travel safely and comfortably. On top of that its been the best car singing environment yet. The only thing I would change would be an automatic overdrive. I always forget it is engaged after I get off the highway. JMHO Cheers
