All the bells and whistles
Love this car! Getting even better mileage than I expected. The only thing I miss is having a rear windshield washer. The rest rocks! Acceleration is good if you don’t mind a drop in mileage. I like to see how high I can get it. 36 mpg so far. It’s teaching me to drive more conservatively.

Why we won't be buying this vehicle.
We wanted to love this vehicle. We've had a Matrix and a Prius and we wanted a Toyota to be the next vehicle we buy. Living in a mountain town now, we need a higher, sturdier vehicle. This Limited is fabulous but for one problem: The back seats DO NOT fold down flat. What? I asked the salesman on the lot and called back to be sure: The back seats fold down to an awkward angle for hauling groceries, ice chests, etc. Too bad. Our Matrix and Prius are almost always in that position: back seats down for a large, perfect area for loading. Not this Toyota.

Car/truck
Front seats are terrible! Too hard, too narrow, too low, and are like sitting in a hole! Rear seat is far superior. Speedometer is very difficult to see and read with an assortment of numbers that make little sense. Screen is impossible to see on a sunny day. Screen is excellent at night.

Small details to get to great
Interior lighting when you open your car door at night should be better. This is a safety concern because getting in quickly can be an issue. Trunk needs space for emergency kit. Everyone needs to trade with car supplies and the trunk has no notched out space where this makes sense. Had to get velcro commercial grade tape to keep our safety box from sliding around all day.

Rav4 Hybrid from Minnesota
I needed an SUV to plow thru the snow and haul my bikes. I also had a red hybrid on my bucket list. The Rav4 delivers on all accounts. Acceleration is powerful and much more than I've had with 18 years of Corollas, which I dearly loved. The safety features are alerts, not preventative, as in, you still need to drive the car. My only gripes are that it's harder to wash than the Corolla, due to it's height; and an XLE should come with more options for the price, such as mud flaps, body side molding, rust preventative. It's a dream to drive. I'm a Toyota gal and will never change.
