Surprised by the poor quality of Toyota
This is the first Toyota I've ever owned. My husband and I bought this car because we wanted a small, fuel-efficient car to get us around town with the capability of expanding cargo space when needed. Unfortunately, I have been sorely disappointed in some of the features of the car. Within the last two years, both rear door handles have completely broken. The replacement cost for each door handle is $200. The rigid metallic coating of the interior door handles has loosened and actually cut my fingers. Various other compartments (while clever and convenient) have broken or become loose. The bumper pops loose easily and can drag.
I love my Matrix XR
I have absolutely fallen in love with my Matrix. It is so fun to drive and people are constantly stopping me to ask me questions about it. The gas mileage is wonderful and the insides are very sporty. The Matrix is a very fun and affordable car, where I can still haul things and don't have to compromise on the gas mileage.
Neo, we found the matrix
Great car, pick-up is four cylider style, a little weak. But I love the car. Doors are a little hard to close, and sunroof sticks a little. but doesn't matter in the long run.
Can I give it a higher rating?
The best car I have ever owned!! I've had this car for over 15 years and I still love it. I love the way the back window opens so I can carry longer items. I love the way the seats fold down and how easy it is to change filters. It handles great and still gets great gas mileage. I just love everything about this car!!

Great Car!!
Went on a 1,000 mile trip and loved it. The car handles great, got 38mpg with the cruise set at 74MPH. The car has plenty of power for my needs. Never lost speed on hills, the cruise maintained its setting. Plenty of interior space and fun to drive. The ride is quite comfortable and the cabin is quiet. After always having SUV's I am glad I made this switch.
