Used 2016 Toyota Highlander Consumer Reviews
Entune & JBL System Bad, Car is Otherwise Great
We owned a 2013 Highlander with the JBL sound system and it was amazing. This 2016 system is horrible. No bass whatsoever. The Entune system is now crashing intermittently. Not what I expect from Toyota. Otherwise, the Highlander is awesome.

Love my new Highlaneder
I just love my Highlander. Leased a 2105 XLE but after driving it for a few months I found that I longed for the Limited edition. I found that I prefer the captain chair seating along with all of the safety features that come with the Limited Platinum edition. Not only do I love the safety features, it is really awesome to have the panoramic sunroof. I live in Southern California where the weather is beautiful year round so I opted to not get the AWD version. My only complaints are the price of the vehicle. It is quite pricey but for the features you get it is a WHOLE lot cheaper than the equally equipped luxury vehicles, such as Audi Q7 or the Infinit Qx6 which are cars that I was originally considering. For the price point of this vehicle I also would prefer if the side view mirrors would automatically fold in without me having to fold them in manually. I love the entune system which works quite well with my LG V10 cellphone which I also LOVE! Being that I had the standard audio system on the 2015 Highlander XLE, I am able to speak to the quality of the JBL system I now have. I am strictly a Pandora and bluetooth user and I will say the sound quality is far superior to the system that comes standard on the XLE model. So, I can say that I like the JBL. But, then again, I am not a radio listener and my music has HD quality because of the cellphone that I have. I absolutely love my Highlander and since I am no longer leasing, I will be keeping 2016 Limited Platinum Highlander for many many years to come.

What's Not To Like !!!!
I love my Highlander!!!! It's attractive, quiet, reliable, comfortable. I've had three Highlanders and have kept going back for more!!! The only thing that I don't like are the colors of the new ones. The Silver looks like a tin can silver, and the Pre Dawn Mica is more brown than it appeared online. Other than that there is nothing to complain about.

My Second Highlander and Love it!
My last highlander was a 2008 Limited and had 130,000. The only repairs it ever had were new tires and brakes. I am hoping this one is the same. I love the automatic high beams, cruise control that adjusts to traffic, and the bluetooth. The touch screen is easily navigated and home screen keeps all the important and most used apps at your finger tips. My sons love the heated back seats and the headrest mounted DVD players (dealer installed but not made by Toyota). I was hoping for more interior room, the MPG is also not great at 19-20 average (and most of my driving is on country roads, not stop and go traffic). I thought after 8 years Toyota would have done a little better. Also DO NOT get Toyota installed remote start! It only works from about 20 feet from the car. If you are inside and the car is outside forget about it! It also shuts the engine off when you get in and you need to restart. But overall, I LOVE my new Highlander!

Analytical
Pros: It's a great car and very comfortable. Handle very well. Cons: from Android phone compatibility might be an issue. It may delay connection. Also using apps (vibers, whatsapp...etc) won't support calling. However if you have iPhone then you won't have any problem. It work seamlessly with any ios apps. Also cabin will have some wind noise. But play music yout will be okay.
