Which 2025 Crown trim does Edmunds recommend?
The base XLE trim is a solid choice for the Crown. This year it adds ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel to its long list of standard equipment, which also includes heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning. The Platinum is much more potent but its turbocharged engine also uses more gas.
2025 Crown trim level differences
The 2025 Toyota Crown is offered in three trim levels: XLE, Limited, Nightshade and Platinum. The XLE, Limited and Nightshade have a 236-horsepower four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, while the Platinum uses a turbocharged engine and hybrid powertrain producing 340 hp. The XLE Limited and Nightshade trims use a continuously variable transmission, while the Platinum features a traditional six-speed automatic. All models come with all-wheel drive.
