Used 2005 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews
My First Toyota
After owning 5 Hondas, I decided to try a Toyota. I've been very pleased with the overall performance, quality, and simplicity of this vehicle. The vehicle fits me very well (5'10") and it is comfortable to drive for an extended period of time. I am a little disappointed with the gas mileage I'm getting. I'm averaging 32 MPG (28 city and 37 highway). Great trunk space. The interior materials are top notch for a vehicle in this price range. Note: The trunk lid doesn't close as well as it should even after being adjusted.
Fun car
Fuel economy is great and you don't have to sacrifice looks to get this in a car. This is a very fun car to drive and I recommend this car to anyone.
Best Car I have ever owned
This is by far the best care I have ever owned for the price. It is both efficient for my long commute, and fun to drive.
Great Gas Mileage 41+mpg/hwy
The Toyota Corolla meets my needs. Initially I purchased it as an interim car until I could afford my luxury car, but now I'm in love with it and I'm keeping it forever. The style is cute and the gas mileage is unbelieveable... 41mpg - no kidding. I've put it to the test. The ride is good and it will seat 4 adults and one child comfortably; however, it could be a challenge if you're over 6'4".
Very solid automobile
I've had the car for about 4 months now and I'm not disappointed. It looks sharp, is quiet, and smooth. The car has handled any quick turns I've ever taken and once you get into the middle gears it can, if pushed, take off. At 75-80 mph, it rides at amount 3000-3200 rpm (not significantly higher than an Avalon I've driven) and I've gotten about 38 MPG on long freeway drives. My city driving only gets about 25 MPG, but that's probably because I drive very short distances and usually let it warm up for a few minutes before I get going. I bet it'd be closer to 30 if my city driving was a more typical commute. The interior feels solid and the doors shut and seal nicely.
