Buck's Review

Lack of personality seems out of context. It seems all who comment on my new Corolla, including my wife, like the small, compact body style, especially w/its sleek headlights and rear spoiler. Gas milage is awesome compared to my Toyota Tacoma Club Cab. The interior, although a dull grey color, is offset with the silver-grey gearshift. We love the dashboard, especially when it is lit up at night. Handling of the Corolla is super as it very responsive in acceleration & turning. There is ample leg room in the backseat. All-in-all, for the price, I'd buy another Corolla over any American-priced vehicle. I've been a Toyota owner since 1990 & have no plans change.

Love my Corolla

The main selling point was visibility. The Corolla driver's seat allows better rear visibility for a shorter driver (my wife) than the Civics we looked at. Having purchased it I love to drive it. It is very solid at freeway speeds and carries 4 people comfortably. I get the advertized 30 mpg in the city and 35-37 mpg driving from Las Vegas to LA at 85 mph with the air conditioning on. The air conditioning handles Las Vegas summers and doesn't underpower the engine. The trunk is large. My only complaint is lots of road noise on some old concrete freeways, probably due to the stiff suspension (that we love).

I bought my 2005 S last week. Though I've only had it one week I am in love with the car. I only have a few complaints which I will post below. I also looked at the honda civic, the nissan sentra spec and the mazda 3 neither car was 1/2 as nice as the corolla S and each cost more. Overall this car is great for what you pay and the sleekness of my car gets so many stares.

I've recently traded in my 2004 Corolla for a 2005 and I'm glad I did. The '05 has a better feel, is smoother and quieter. I have been very pleased with the performance of this car as well as it's reliabilty and think that it was the best purchase decision. The added power locks and cruise control option is definantly a plus and comes in handy. Will definantly purchase another Toyota product when I need to.
