Used 2020 Toyota Camry Sedan Consumer Reviews
Pleasant Mid-Sized Car
I have had my Camry SE for 2.5 years now and have, overall, have enjoyed it. The ride is very smooth. Even in the SE trim it seems to be more geared to comfort than handling. It really does a nice job of absorbing the beat up Wisconsin roads. Cornering is average at best. It is better since my recent tire change, but it is far from sporty. I have the 4 cylinder engine. The car accelerates okay, but it is not at all quick. Economy is good and it really pays off if you don't accelerate hard from a stop. For me, there is not enough benefit stepping on the gas from a stop to make it worth wasting the gas, but that is okay. I am a big guy and find the seats to be quote comfortable, it is one of the highlights of the car. The major downsides are the engine noise when accelerating and road noise. It is really noticeable and is the reason I wish there was a 3.5 star rating. I like the looks of the car. Mine is a nightshade edition and is white. I think the car looks great from the outside, but understand those who think otherwise. The front end is polarizing. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.and plan on enjoying mine for the next two plus years.

Better than my 2018 Camry SE
I recently purchased a 2020 Camry XLE AWD after I lost my 20 RAV4 to a careless driver. AWD is not a must for me, but after test driving this well maintained car I fell in love. This is my 4th Camry(really miss my 2015), but comparing this to my 2018 model brand new it feels more solid on the road not to mention all the bells and whistles. The mpg kinda sucks in the city compared to the SE because of it’s AWD but the comfort level is closer to a previous Lexus I owned. No complaints this far after putting 1200 miles on it so far.

Camry XLE... Starts and runs flawlessly
I like a car that gives you excellent you reliability. Safety is rated five Star+ Plus which is the highest rating you can get. This car has been stellar in that area. It has all the safety features. I really love the Intelligent clearance Sonar with Rear cross traffic alert with automatic braking. You can be in a parking lot trapped between two big trucks and put it in reverse and it will tell you if anything is near or approaching without you seeing it.. if you continue to back up a red light will come in the dash warning you and if you do not break it will stop for you to avoid a collision. It does the same way sideways on all the corners and shows the diagram on the dash of the areas you are getting too close to objects. Just one of the many safety features. Also if you are in traffic and you follow too close it will warn you as well and stop you before you hit the car in case it breaks hard in front of you. It's the 2.5 4 cylinder engine with 8-speed transmission non-hybrid and I get up to 48.2 miles per gallon on the highway. On interstate driving you can reach speeds of 100 mph and barely tell the car is moving. I have had this car 2.5 years and have never had an issue or a reason to carry it in for any type of adjustments.

Some pros but too many negatives
Was excited to get my 3rd Camry XLE w/more safety features, but here's what I don't like: 1)too low body in front; too easy to scrape paint on concrete parking barriers or curbs 2) too easy to turn seat warmers on w/knuckles when opening center storage console 3) can't reach/open glove compartment (or just BARELY) from driver seat (remove seat belt, lean WAY over and maybe you can open it but not what's in it!) 4) angled bottle holder in door is ONLY useful for bottles w/caps. When I have water or soad in one console holder & phone holder in another, where do I put my coffee? 5) Android auto never works the same. lots of problems bringing up directions; on phone to show on car (or visa versa; can't figure it out). Phone connected and trying to activate map on screen (of where I am!) keeps showing error about navigation app not downloaded. 6) Huge "power" dial/circle on left side of driver screen wastes too much space just to have an equal shape to the speedometer on the right side. 7) XLE model (but w/out moonroof) so I get NO light on the visor mirror? even for the driver? 8) NO directional letter: W, S, E, N on rearview mirror OR anywhere I can find even when android auto is working! :( 9) finding and understanding all the new safety features is quite confusing and requires a LOT of study of the manual while in the car 7) NO USB plugs conveniently located for backseat passenger device charging w/out lifting center console and plugging in there....which isn't reachable from the back seat AND driver should not be trying to do it while driving. Sheesh. Such common sense to just put the USB ports in the back of the console reachable by backseat passenters.
