We waited for the 19 due to Apple Play. This car has several issue and can only be fixed by design/manufacturing. First, the car is very loud in low gear up to 35mph. When on the phone, my friend think I'm driving an old truck. Took it to the dealer, they said it's the new characteristic of Camry. I drove other rental car for work, and none are as loud. Kia was way more quiet. The power train and the transmission appears to be mismatch. Not smooth at all. Will look for opportunity to sell the car. Next is the so call safety system, generate several false alarm. Make a turn the collision warning would come on. sometime I'm too close the collision warning doesn't come on. Very dangerous. And of course there is the Apple Play. The panel is not Apple Play friendly. Very slow and often doesn't show up. Need serious software update. Toyota need to give up on entire. The buttons are a joke. I would advise to stay away until they fix the powertrain issue. Also noted... Very poor front visibility. Front windshield seem really small. I thought Kia Optima front windshield was small, but Camry feel caged. Rear windows not much better either. Frequent shifting, and road noise is very prominent, hope Michelin tire may help. The control and console is seem lots of wasted space. Screen is tilted upward, hard to read, glare made it worse. Entune is a joke. Still not a big fan of the front exterior. The front is just downright ugly. I guess the good news is I do't have to look at it when I drive. Again I would stay away to due the power train noise.

Plus .Consistent mileage over 50, comfortable, lots of room , sound system, ease of use on steering wheel. Cons : Blind spot/poor i / took back seat head rests out/E TUNE is a joke. We have 2 year old Samsung Galaxy phones and cannot access any of the apps./ GPS etc. The dealer had a tech guy spend about an hr. trying to connect us. If I Phone or some other kind is required to use the car to its fullest potential it should come with a phone or a rebate of a few thousand $$ to buy new ones.I feel ripped off on this issue. We like the car, it is our fourth Toyota and our second Hybrid Toyota. ( we had a 2012 and never had any problem, hoping this one does as well.)

Having owned a 2002, 2005, 2009, 2014 and having great experiences with each of these past Camry's for me it was a no brainer to purchase a 2019. I got the SE as I love the sports seats and slightly sporty suspension. This car has good power, look great and gets very good gas mileage. I get 35-39 mph. I love the tech and safety features. Though don't do much with Entune. I stick with Apple Car play. My only nit-pick is the transmission when the car is cold. It is not nearly as smooth when driving slow as my 2014 SE was. However, once the tranny warms up it gets smoother. Overall the car is great and handles very well. I happy with my car. Update 8/25/2020 The car continues to run well. I'm not getting the hesitation in the transmission at all now. My car handles well, Its great on road trips. I love the tech(lane-departure warning, radar cruise control, etc). Still getting great fuel economy. Only time I see the dealer is for complimentary maintenance. My only gripe now is the cheap rearview mirror and sunglasses holder and a few other areas of cheapness thought the cabin. Other than this, the Camry is a solid car.

New 2019 Camry XSE V6 is in its own superior class

I have also been a life long fan and owner of Honda and its Accords, and SUV pilots EXL trim. I purchased the 2019 Camry XSE V6 and its by far lived up to and surpassed expectations. For the money its the best value bar none! For the XSE trim with V6 , memory seat setting and side view mirrors should have been standard , All the connection gimmicks are cool but since there is a substantial charge every year this is another failed attempt and squeezing money out of this purchase. Unlimited phone plans makes Wi-Fi in this car nearly useless ! Toyota recently has a recall for bad low presure fuel pumps on some models. I got a letter stating they have no remedy yet. very concenrning.

Make sure to CHECK if the car has XM radio {look for the fin on the rear roof} don't trust that the sales man will know (they don't), make sure your all weather mats are in your car, get RID of ETUNE system....sucks...make the car be compatible with android phones, not just kiddie iphones (sorry to my grown son :) )
