All flash, no dash
Don't let the fact that the top goes down down fool you. Terrible JBL radio, lousy seats, lots of wind noise with the top up, busy HVAC controls, no stick, so so gas mileage, crappy center console is an elbow rest not an arm rest. Purchased this car for the wife cause she liked the way it looked with the top down, but after spending an hour driving it, she would rather drive her 10 year old jeep with 150,000 miles on it. This car may or not be reliable down the road, but it's a lot to put up with just for the sake of reliability.
2003 Solara
I love my new Solara! The handling is great, rides the road very smoothly, dont feel the bumps like I did in my other car (a GM car) Got great service! I couldnt be happier!

Disappointed
Actually I own a 2000 SE V6 Manual and I am very disappointed to see that Toyota has dropped that transmission from the V6 lineup. The manual is the reason I went with the Solara versus the Accord. Now for 2003, the Accord comes with a 240 hp V6 AND a manual for about the same price as a now underpowered and not so fun to drive Solara (in comparison to the competition). I very much enjoy the Solara but in a year or so when ready to buy a new car, I wont consider the Solara without the manual transmission.
My 2003 Solara
I love the car. Fun to drive, nice to look at, great gas mileage, great radio with 6 cd changer, great a/c
Solara Boy
I had a Nissan Xterra before, and at the time needed a 4x4 vehicle. After moving though the ride was 'stale'. I decided to upgrade to the Solara Coupe. Most solid Coupe I have owned so far (previous Camaro and a Monte Carlo). I probably paid too much for the car, but I have no complaints driving everyday.
