Crazy reliable, great value for money, a bit slow
We owned this car for 8 years, and it was one of the most reliable cars we drove. Maintenance was rare, routine, and inexpensive, even after the warranty ended. The car never broke down, and no parts ever failed to work. We even drove it through a very flooded road once, perhaps a foot and a half of water, and it still functioned fine. The interior stood up to time, and was chalk full of technology, even at it's price point. The only problem with the Toyota was that it lost horsepower over time. It became rather unsettling to drive on the highway, mainly because it lacked the pickup to get out of sticky situations. Also, for a hybrid, it was only getting around 35 miles per gallon in mixed driving. As a result, we sold it in 2019 for $8,000. Would I recommend you buy this car? Absolutely. It's reliable, budget friendly, safe, full of decent technology for it's time, and comfortable. The only thing to keep note of is highway performance. If that's not so much of an issue for you, then don't be concerned at all.

Camry Hybrid ahead of its time
While the Camry Hybrid may not be the most fancy, the most luxurious, or the most glamourous. It may be the overall best car on the road. The Camry has a huge advantage (perhaps alongside the Honda Accord) in that so many sold has given the maker a lot of flexibility to make the best car possible. The car is loaded and has everything necessary. Also, it isn't hard to get 30+ MPG, which is an amazing savings for a 5-passenger sedan. This is probably the best car made. The dealer backs it knowing that they won't lose money. Try that with another maker. Your move.

Value for Money
Have had a fully loaded version of this car for 18 months now. Mileage varies from 37/38 in spring fall, but drops to 34/36 on hot or very cold days. I drive reasonably well, and am not a hypermiler. Comfy and quiet ride. Interior is OK, GPS not as good as a Garmin. iPod interface can be improved (but but he sound system is great). Cupholders suck - have had coffee cup topple over twice on sharp turns.
1 year- 40mpg
I have had this car for about one year now. I previously had a buick century, but before that I had a 1993 camry with 190,000 miles. This car drives just like the 93. I have 20,000 miles on the TCH and I love it. It has lots of power and room. The only thing I dont like is when you put your hand on the driverside handle to unlock it, only the driver door unlocks. Also, I can drive up to 42mph on electric only. At 85mph, it doesnt sound like the car is on or moving. I love it and will get anotherone when this one goes.
Good to go
My husband and I commute 50 miles a day to work via tollroads and the gas mileage is great for this size of car. We traded the Prius for the Camry, loved the Prius but it was a tad small. Great on the highway and in town.
