Two years later Hybrid
I still love my camry, mileage runs 40 to 42 mpg in Idaho, when in Calif for the winter 38 to 40 (more traffic). It runs smooth, quiet, still on original tires. 38,000 miles on it, I get routine maintenance at the Toyota dealer. No mechanical problems at all.
Great gas mileage, but bad head rests
It's rated at 33/34 mpg. The worst I got at below 0 degree wind chill, having to warm up vehicle for 7 minutes before leaving, and driving in a small town, as 24 mpg. The best mpg I got was 39 mpg (long-distance on back roads or on highways with stop lights). The head rests are horrible, though. It feels like you're putting your head on a rock, and it pushes you head forward (I like sitting straight-up when I drive, at 90 degree angle). Also, the mpg readout was always wrong. I calculated my mpg at every fill-up myself. Besides the drawbacks, it's a great car. I have always loved Camry.

Evaluation
Except for pickup and power which I am accustomed this car is great for local driving. It leaves a lot to be desired when driving in the mountains.
Wait A Year
Nice car. Everyone should have a Hybrid! But don't be shafted by the dealer. Camry disappointing in interior quality of components and trim that doesn't match in color and alignment. SHAME on you TOYOTA! And the damn beeper they have beeps at everything you do. GET RID OF IT. Center console too bright at night time. But quality in trim is seriously lacking. Stone Mountain Toyota, GA ripped me off, so beware and don't go near that place. The are "under new management" every other month. As a Hybrid the vehicle is fine and economical to drive for sure. Economy button for the A/C is UNDER the dashboard! WHAT were they thinking??? Brand new car needs an interior redesign already.
Best car I've owned
Drives like a luxury car. Great highway mileage(37-42 mpg), less great in city(25-30 mpg).
