I love this truck. One problem is the back hatch. If I'm not careful all groceries fall out when I open the back hatch. This problem has cost me dozens of eggs :) Also the hatch window opens with the remote key, but I have to start the car to put it back up -- not convenient at all! Other than those things...I LOVE THIS TRUCK...and I know my daughter is safe. That's the main thing.

This is the best SUV out there! When you compare the total package and build quality against the rest 4Runner is miles ahead. If you want power the new V8 is fantastic. Smooth and quite at any speed. The materials are first rate throughout. The only drawback I've found is it's a bit pricey. On the other hand you really get what you pay for here. I've had more expensive cars than this one but none better. I love driving it and it will go places the driver won't go. Had a major snowstorm and with 10" deep this SUV didn't even breath hard. I like options so I went with the ltd but any model will do. You can't go wrong with the new 4Runner...

Expensive, but great vehicle

Although it could use a little more leg room this is a great vehicle. The dealership installed a custom leather interior for a really good price which saved us thousands (not having to buy the Limited package). Today we gave the vehicle a good run through the desert near the Mexican border. It was well over 100 degrees, climbing 4000 ft. mountains on the back roads and on Interstate 8 and gas mileage was really great and temperature guage never moved. The V8 is very quite and powerful for the size. It should last for years, I have seen a lot of old ones on the road that still look like new. Recommend to at least drive this SUV before buying something else.

I am a third time owner of a 4Runner. They keep getting better. Excellent overall value, resale, MPG (V6), ride and comfort, reliability. The new 5spd automatic transmission in the 2005 is very smooth.

This SUV is my 2nd 4Runner and they just keep getting better. I LOVE the quality and feel of the leather, it is 10 times better than cloth. The heated seats are a really cool, or should I say hot feature! Although my car-loving son uses them more than I do, they are still an excellent touch on frosty mornings. This car has a punchy V6 that provides plenty of power. The stereo sounds like music from heaven and I also like the 6-disc CD changer, I also enjoy this car's ULTRA-quiet cabin and soft ride and yet you can still feel the road. I am in love with this car and will continue to buy them untill a better car comes out (which will probably not happen).
