I have had 3 jeeps previously & found them to be quite capable. However after some treks to "Big Sky" country, in severe weather, & pulling a trailer, I can say hands down NOTHING rides this smooth, is THIS capable, while being THIS much fun to drive ! When I go a long distance it is only upon egress one realizes that "Hey, I'm in a 'truck'... who knew ! Get all the bells & whistles though, the headrest DVD's are a crowd pleaser, with the 110v outlet & a playstation 2 it's also a VERY quiet ride... sans all of the "Are we there yet's?"

If you're thinking of any SUV under $40,000, buy this one. For looks, it's obviously beautiful (I prefer the sport edition with the hood scoop, spoiler, and roof rails). It is AWESOME offroad and feels more like a truck designed for offroading than cheaply made American SUVs or "road only" Japanese and German SUVs. On road, it is average and takes a little getting used to. The sport suspension is excellent for treating it sorta like a sports car, but braking has to be done earlier. The V8 eats gas but the truck is POWERFUL. Not only fast, but like heavy fast (maybe torque?) It just feels like it's a beast. Feels very solid for a Japanese car (I had a Benz) Can't recommend it highly enough!

this vehicle is awesome, it is the best SUV on the market. For those people who have never tried a 4Runner you better hurry up and go try one. It may be more expensive than other auto maker, but it is definitely worth the money you spend.

Guess the main selling point with me was not only Toyota quality but all the safety feature available and the V8 engine. I also have a GX 470 and it just tops off the 4 Runner platform. But the Runner will give you close to bang for the buck. Good size, performance, and amenities

This is the best SUV I have ever owned. It's sleek, stylish, and the most comfortable vehicle. It has so many standard features that I am still trying to figure them out. I did a lot of research on this and other SUVs prior to making my decision. This SUV is by far the one that stood out the most. I read a lot of reviews and I did not find any that said this SUV was not a good buy. I have never regretted purchasing this SUV.
