Best car I have ever owned

I bought this car from a family in December 2022 with 164k and it needed a lot of work due to differed maintenance. Once I got all of that done, I have been able to drive him from Ohio to Virginia and back multiple times, to Michigan, to Maryland from Ohio multiple times, several day trips to Canton and Columbus, Ohio and all the way to Champagne, IL. I trust this car to drive me anywhere, he gets great gas mileage (about 28 on the highway), and is very easy to work on. The AWD system is excellent in Ohio winters and many parts are interchangeable with the 2002-2007 WRX and other Subarus of the early 2000s. I am at 184k right now and plan on keeping him on the road as long as I can!

So long my Subaru

I just had an accident with my 95, and the insurance company has chosen to total it, but I will really miss it, and look forward to my next Subaru. With 124,000 miles, it still got 28-30 mpg on the highway, could hold an amazing amount of cargo, and was great in the snow. Sure, it leaked a little oil like most old Subies, but not enough to have to add any. Had some wind noise around the driver's door, and no mechanic could ever figure out the vibration that happened between 60 & 80 mph, but nothing that made me regret buying it. It's a great practical car.

Fantastic Daily Driver!

I was handed down my '95 Subaru Wagon from my father. The Suby' currently has 231,000 miles on the odometer at the moment and has been virtually problem free. Great in snow, just push the gas and it takes off with no tire slippage. My tranny thunks a little bit sometimes when it kicks into second gear, but with this many miles on the car, it's understandable. I keep up with its regularly scheduled oil changes, and have even gone over a few 1000 miles before. The Subaru continues to run smoothly and efficiently. Just had some maintenance work done to her in order to pass my state inspection. My mechanic said the car looks excellent underneath and I should hold onto it. I plan on it.

Stable Workhorse in Snowy country

We bought this used with 95000 miles from a dealer in 1999 for $6500, we have had the car for 5 years now, and the only work we have had done is brakes, spark plugs, and belts. The car has 160,000 miles and runs great, no problem with the a/c, we drove in 12 inch snow during a bad snowstorm and it had no problem, passing up more expensive and prettier cars. Great Reliability. For snow country this is a wonderful machine.
