All about the rocks
Had we known about the grinding rocks getting into wheel wells we would NOT HAVE PURCHASED our 2024 Forester Wilderness. It is NOT MADE for off-roading. We live down 10 miles of gravel, never gotten a rock stuck in any other car's wheel well, including my beautiful Crosstrek ..not wilderness package. Now EVERY day we listen to screeching rocks in wheels. Total deal breaker.....if we knew about it. DO not buy this car if you're on or frequent gravel roads. If not, it's a complete dream...love it! "Off-roading" is a suburban warrior term. Shame on Subaru for not fixing this issue and continuing to sell to folks on gravel. We hate our 24 Forester Wilderness for this reason alone. Embarrassing. I wonder if I wasted 2 hours every day going to Sub dealer if they would do something about it....like give us a different car.

what's with the lighting?
I just bought the Forester 2024. I cant stand the headlights! They do not illuminate the whole road. They illuminate only the bottom portion of road visible through the windshield. I am only 5'2" and have to look under this dark area to see the road. This is ridiculous, I cant see the road!
Perfect the dogs and me
I’ve had the Wilderness since April and I have to say I LOVE THIS VEHICLE. Drawbacks could be the engine, but I don’t press it for acceleration from a full stop. When I need to pass, I’ve had no trouble. But, if you’re looking for spirited acceleration, this isn’t your choice. But, the breaking and handling are great. Gas milage is pretty good on the hwy. But, I drive it mostly in the city, and keep the engine running often during the summer (because of the dogs and living in the desert). Of course the safety features are top notch. In addition to reliability, I purchased this vehicle because I have two dogs, and wanted to get some light off-roading in on weekends. For that it’s PERFECT. The seating material is exactly what I wanted/needed for the dogs. It wipes clean easy. I keep the back seats down and it holds a Big Barker XL mattress (great for two dogs 74 and 50 lbs) well with room for water bowl and other items. I’m impressed with the off-roading. No wilderness type areas, all desert with rocks and sand.

Best Vehicle I Have Owned
I had two Toyota Sienna Vans for ten years each. My son has CP and uses a walker. I got tired of the size of the van when parking and we had moved in to a townhome with the garage in the back with a narrow alley. My 2020 Forester Premium is high enough for my son to easily get in, plenty of room for his walker in the back, and is very easily driven into my garage. Love all the bells and whistles with the Premium. Don't ever take it off road. Has better gas mileage than the Sienna Vans. Controls are easy to use. Service Center at my Subaru dealer is awesome. Couldn't be happier.

Cooler than you think Subaru Forester.
Purchased a used Subaru Forester. We really like the smooth driving little SUV. It’s kind of funky but in a cool way. I’m looking forward to driving to work in this thing. It is a very practical vehicle, plenty of room, nicely equipped and very good safety features.

Feeling the Love
Traded in a 2013 Outback for a 2024 Forester. Love all the new safety features—especially EyeSight. It made a 7 hour drive on an interstate easier—less manual braking required. The Forester is very comfortable and held all the luggage and gear for 2 people on a 4-day lodge-to-lodge hike. Good gas mileage—30 mpg on the interstate.

Driving my Dream Car!
Very smooth driving, exterior and interior is gorgeous! I ordered a Wlderness in Autumn Green and i love driving it! I had been thinking about buying a Subaru for a few years, and I'm so glad i took the plunge and bought the car of my dreams! I watched and read reviews, and they were all positive, and it helped me make my decision.

In The Shop but Looking Good
I bought a new 2024 Subaru Forester Limited in Cascade Green. It is an attractive car with many nice features including heated steering wheel and a navigation system that is actually easy to use. Visibility from the cabin is excellent, and the car rides and drives very well. I do miss the CD player, which is no longer offered, but that is a minor complaint. The safety gear, such as blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert, work well and are a blessing. Unfortunately, the car experienced some type of electrical system failure and had to be towed to the dealership. This was not expected in a car with only 3000 miles on it, but it is the same thing that happened with my wife's new Subaru Legacy a couple years ago. Although I fear Subaru quality has slipped in recent years, I still believe that they should be considered by drivers wanting an all-wheel drive car that is user-friendly. Update: I have now been driving the car for nearly a year, and the vehicle has proven to be comfortable and reliable (the dealer replaced a relay switch and updated the electronics in response to the malfunction mentioned above). I replaced the original equipment tires, as I was unhappy with their lack of traction, so I feel I'm ready for winter. As noted in my original review, the Forester has many positive points, and I feel it deserves to be on the short list of anyone wanting a small to medium size AWD SUV. As to the future, I'm hoping Subaru can produce a viable hybrid that will get good gas mileage
