Used 2011 Subaru Forester Consumer Reviews
2 time Forester owner
We have owned 2 and they are great vehicles, especially for snowy climates.

Lots of potential but shameful outcome
It’s a super fun car to drive, don’t get me wrong, and its AWD system will break tracks through any snow storm or rocky road… but you won’t be able to go on any road trips without using a horrendous amount of oil!! I was checking my oil every second time I filled up with gas and it was nearly empty each time. The last year I owned it, it was out of commission for nearly an entire month due to issues popping up with suspension, electrical (hatch wouldn’t open due to rust build up in the mechanism), and engine problems. Not to mention it’s also gutless; never felt safe passing vehicles on the highway! In my opinion, it’s a cursed model unless you got it fixed under the warranty that is only application you have less than 130,000km on the ODO.

I love my car. However, the compass did not work since day one. I had few problems like the trunk was not able to unlock at the beginning It was fixed under the guaranty.
