Great First Car!!!

I loved this car! I bought it off someone in my family and had it for a year before a truck hit me and it was totalled. This was the perfect first car for me... great gas mileage, EASIEST standard to use, good accelaration, sporty feel, etc. I did however have to put in some money for some repairs at 150,000 miles. Needed to replace entire exhaust over 1 year, pricey brake job, engine problem gave me 50 miles less per tank of gas. (Never did figure out what was wrong). Would have loved to keep the car for another 4 years (if it hadn't been totalled).

I've been driving my 1994 Saturn since it was new. Except for oil, tires and a new alternator, I've never had any mechanical problems. It's a little slow to accelerate, but it only has 85 hp. It gets great gas mileage. The only thing that has broken is the plastic loop that keeps the seat belt attached to the seat (at your waist). While a bigger car would be nice, I'll still be driving it for a few more years as it is only 8 this month and mechanically sound!

Been a good car for me. Bought with 57,000 miles and now has 109,000. Repairs/replacements: fuel regulator ($200), value seal ($75), battery ($50), tires ($300)and muffler ($90). The resale is disappointing though.

I couldn't be happier with this car. With 230K miles, I've only replaced minor components, plus usual wear and tear, like 1 alternator, 1 battery. 5 sets of tires. Suspension is original, motor never gone into, still gets mid 30sMPG, doesn't burn oil. Interior still excellent, paint peeling from desert sun to be expected.

Purchased from my sister in 03 with 77k on it. She drove it 3 yrs in Romania, 3yrs in England, and 2 years in Greece. I drive it 4000 miles a month and it's been great. Odometer broke at 243,00 miles and transmission finally failed at 250,000. Replaced Radiator at 150,000 and serpentine belt tensioner pully at 220,000. Desert temperatures are extreme in AZ and AC's never failed.
