Review

Good to see other owners submitting
reviews. Bought my car used with
46,000 miles and as of this review my
odometer reads roughly 124,000 miles.
Needed about $900 worth of repairs
when I first got it (snookered by the
Toyota dealership where I bought it).
Over the 7 years that I have had the
car, it has needed $2,900 worth of
repairs, not including regular
maintenance. About $1,000 of those
repairs were to fix an oil leak caused
by a bad engine gasket. Despite all
of the repairs, it runs, and runs
pretty well. Survived a number of
long road trips, camping trips, and
many trips to the ski resorts without
a problem. It just keeps going and
going.

Best Features

I griped about the repairs, but after all of the major repair work was done, all I do now is fill gas and change the oil. Speakers and stereo headunit are easily replaced. Gas milage isn't bad - 23 mpg for mostly city driving. A/C nice and chilly during hot summer weather.

Worst Features

Wish the interior were not so plastic. Front seats are kind of uncomfortable as the padding is thin. Engine is weak at high altitudes. Need to turn off the A/C to merge with freeway traffic. Unusually large turning radius. Burns about a quart of oil every 4,000 mi.

Review

I'm the only person I know who has not
been 100% thrilled with their Saturn.
I honestly believe mine is a lemon.
New engine, transmition, brakes,
muffler, three alternators... It's
ridiculous.

One thing I can say is that the
customer service of Saturn dealerships
and mechanics is the best I've ever
seen.

Review

Been a good car for me. Bought with
57,000 miles and now has 109,000.
Repairs/replacements: fuel regulator
($200), value seal ($75), battery
($50), tires ($300)and muffler ($90).
The resale is disappointing though.

Best Features

Exterior sytling, fold down rear seats.

Worst Features

none

Review

I loved this car! I bought it off
someone in my family and had it for a
year before a truck hit me and it was
totalled. This was the perfect first
car for me... great gas mileage,
EASIEST standard to use, good
accelaration, sporty feel, etc. I did
however have to put in some money for
some repairs at 150,000 miles. Needed
to replace entire exhaust over 1 year,
pricey brake job, engine problem gave
me 50 miles less per tank of gas.
(Never did figure out what was wrong).
Would have loved to keep the car for
another 4 years (if it hadn't been
totalled).

Best Features

Moonroof!!! Great accelaration, gas mileage, good response, very easy clutch, cheap first car with sporty feel, etc.

Worst Features

no cupholder, better horn location (almost impossible to locate in emergency situations), poor stock sound system, moonroof became very rusty, somewhat noisy at high speeds.

Review

I bought this car used in 98. I drove
it across the country and it's still
going. While it loses speed up steep
hills and has a slow take off, it
starts every day. It has had few
problems and still gets 30 mpg. I plan
to drive it for a few more years. Other
cars I have owned (used)only lasted a
few years before I gave up on repairing
them every week.

Best Features

MPG is great & the price of repairs is cheap. Need I say more?

Worst Features

Rain run off from windshild to driverside window. More power.
