I bought this car used in spring 2011 had 50,000 miles on it and I have over 90,000 on it now, I loved it at 1st, drove really nice and smooth, but being over 90,000 i'm not liking it so much, it already getting rusty on the trunk lid, took it to the dealer ship and said that it would keep coming back after they fix it cause of how the design is, it would keep collecting salt and what not from the road. And the car is pretty noise when your going a certain speed on the interstate, the rotors make noise and shakes. And they could of made the inside alot better.. I've been trying to sell it/trade it in.. but happen to owe to much on it.. but when I owe lesser on it, I'm so gonna get rid of it.

If price, performance, and standard features are important to you, you owe it to yourself to drive an Aura. You'd have to spend around $45,000 to get anywhere near what you get as standard equipment on this American made car for around $25,000. I recommend the XR-the XE is around $1500 cheaper but at this price, go for the gold. If you are considering a Toyota, VW, or Honda, check this car before you make a mistake. The Aura puts them to shame. And I've owned one of each. If you think you can get a 6 cyl. engine, leather interior, sun roof, OnStar,8 speaker sound system, rear seat radio,18" alloy wheels, remote engine start and power everything for less, go for it.

Amazing Car For Price

I have found the Aura to be beyond the Camry, Accord, and Altima, even if they were at the same price, which they aren't. I didn't like the Altima as much for steering, although the engine is at or beyond the Aura in some refinement aspects, and Camry for ride and road noise. The Aura is more quiet, has better steering feedback, and more tight suspension and seating. Only thing that needs attention is a rear center armrest, move high mounted stoplight to top of rear window, and improve quality of rear seat cupholder.

RECALL AND TRANS NIGHTMARE!

I purchased this car in 2007 and I thought it was a great car...but no. I had issues with with this car all the time. The dealership always made up excuses for all the problems instead of solving them. I paid it off in 2012 and two weeks later the transmission blew....Im a single mom and don't have $3800 to throw at a car I just paid off and couldn't afford to buy a new one. The dealership and GM made excuses for this LEMON instead of helping me. Then there had been recall after recall on this car yet they STILL wouldn't help me at all. It's now been 6 years and I'm still without a car. Basically my car is nothing but a lawn ornament! I feel like this company should have made it right by me but instead it was "not my problem" from both the dealer and GM. It's despicable what they have done to so many people but refuse to help people. While I understand the Saturn company went out of business...it was really a company that was an off shoot of GM. GM shame on you!

My girlfriend and I picked up an Aura XE first and we loved it so much I had to go back and get an XR for myself. There's not a lot on the road and we get people looking all the time and saying, "That's a Saturn?!?" The ride in these are so smooth and quiet that it feels we are driving in a much more expensive luxury car. I love the way how the car looks passing by because it looks like it is alot more money than it is and it stands out from the rest! Do not miss out on a great car if you are looking for a family and/or sports sedan by not considering an Aura. Drive one for yourself and you will like it.
