I got the long horn 2500 with the diesel engine package and here are the issues. 1. The buckles on the back of the front seat pockets fell off. 2. There is an on going audio thumping due to the ANC system (active noise cancelation) 3. The tint on the front driver and passenger windows came with bubbles in it. 4. Silver wheel well screw that is not painted like the rest on both passenger and driver side. 5. Uconnect system has tons of bugs. You will have to reset it frequently holding down the volume and the tune button for 20 seconds for a forced reboot.

Owned car 2 weeks and only gotten to drive 1.5 day

Currently only driven my brand new 2500 Tradesman Diesel for a day and a half, when it would not go into reverse then check engine light came on. Once I was finally able to find a dealer that wouldn't make me wait a week to bring it in, I found out it wasnt just the solenoid pack that was bad. Metal shards all through the transmission. Been waiting a week to get Ram to authorize a new transmission and then at least another week to actually get it shipped. Will be close to an entire month before I get to drive it again. Really concerned with what else I am going to have to deal with now.

1 year and 10 months later, we have 31 thousand miles on it. Runs and drives like a Top. No problems what so ever. I changed the oil myself regularly using Pennzoil 0W 40 KN oil Filter. Rotate the tires at the dealer or local tire shop whichever one suits me when they need arrives. I have absolutely zero regrets and would buy this all over again it’s a wonderful truck. Great Truck, everything works as expected. No issues. Uconnect 5 auto updates automatically its neat to see. I cant say enough about it. I have the Laramie and its interior is amazing. It’s Truely the luxury of trucks. We chose the Hemi and instead of the Cummins, It sounds great and has a nice rumble to it. We also chose the 4.10 gears instead of the 3.73 for better towing and pep. But you suffer like with any gear up grad a little in gas milage about 2 mpg. It drives nice, my wife was surprised as to how it takes the curves of our county roads. Make sure you get running boards lol I'm 5'10" With the 20" rims and the 285 tires you need them. The vision or the road is great sitting up high. We love it.

Not a fan - 2022 RAM 2500 Limited Mega

I custom order the truck in mid-February, 2022 and it didn't arrived at the dealership until late July. On the day I picked up the new truck, odometer already had 42mi on it. After completed all the paperwork and ready to leave the dealership, I discovered truck's front parking sensors didn't work. 10 days and 300mi of driving later, I noticed there were oil spots all over my driveway. Looked underneath the truck and could visually see oil dripping from different area under the truck but couldn't see where the leak(s) came from. Took the truck back on 8/2/22 and was told that there were 3 different leaks, transmission, DEF line and shocks. It's been two weeks since dropping off the truck and it is still sitting in the Service dept waiting for parts and repairs to be done. Completely frustrated and dissatisfied with the quality control and workmanship aspects with this truck manufacturer. I'm hoping they can find a way to provide some kind of remedy for the troubles that I'm going through.

Amazing truck. Powerwagon model. More power then I need but I will find a use for it! Smooth ride while either towing or driving around town.

I needed a work truck, plain and simple. But also something I could use as a daily driver with some comfort and room for a family of four. The 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman really checked all of my boxes. The ability to add a few creature comforts in the cab of an entry-level trim was a great addition. Besides the standard cruise control and power locks and windows, I was able to up the entertainment center screen, which included added Android Auto! Also upgraded was cloth seats, rubber mats, heated mirrors and rear window, and a sliding rear window. Outside, the truck I purchase also had a nice chrome upgrade that made the steel wheels look a little nicer. Overall, it felt like a luxury truck compared to the F250 XL I drove, and was about $4k less expensive. Don't think I'm a Ram Loyalist, as this is my first one. I've owned all the major brands (and even a Honda Ridgeline) but in 2021, Ram easily had the truck that best met my needs with the right price.

Bought my 2022 new and it broke down at 150 miles (documented). The salesman that sold it to me said to go to the nearest dealer, which told me to bring it for them to look at in 2 weeks. The truck stayed parked at the dealership for 4 of the first 6 months of ownership. Dodge replaced the radio 3 times and the brake controller twice and only to no avail, the truck has many trailer brake wiring, transmission shifting, radio, psi, and run away while on cruise, electrical issues. And has now started making lifter noises in the engine. We tried forcing a buy back but because we had 15,000 miles on it they were going to deduct like 11K off the buy back, however they did state that if we chose to keep the problem truck that they would give us 4K and we sign a Non-Disclosure...I will not agree to a muzzle law and obviously,... if after a year they can’t repair it, what makes them think that 4K is going to get it fixed. All I can do is shake my head at dodge, shame on them! The truly do not care about their customers or the defective products they sell! Quinn

Tows great less comfortable than a 1500

I had a 2021 1500 built to serve and 2015 Outdoorsman both with the 5.7. They were extremely nice and in particular, the 1500 is amazing from a comfort standpoint both driving and interior...but with the new trailer (6700 lbs total/800 lbs tongue weight), although adequate for towing and within specs, you were never able to fully relax in the relationship between the truck and the trailer. So, I got a 2500 6.4 Hemi and my towing issues were solved. Great power, the truck always feels planted and in control over the trailer... I am much less stressed (you know that low level always aware kind) after a day's drive... So, from a pure comfort standpoint speaking to the 2019 later models, they are quite a bit better than the 2500. The new 1500's have the bigger rear seat area (crew cab) and the dogs like that. In terms of fit and finish and interior amenities, they are equal but the ride of a 2500 is definitely a TRUCK like ride, stiffer, bouncier and the size of the 2500 crosses a line, for me, for daily driver. A 1500 rides like an upscale SUV. The 2500 rides like an extremely well put together TRUCK. Now, I don't drive mine as a daily driver and have a Jeep Renegade for that at double the mileage at least... so, the trucks is for transfer station duties and light off roading mostly under 10K a year miles. If you want comfort and a daily driver and don't tow daily or even weekly, go with a 1500 every day. If you tow at 6K or more and 800 to a thousand lbs tongue weight or virtually ANY fifth wheel go 2500. IF you tow daily or weekly at 6K up, go 2500/3500 diesel. In addition, the extra length and dimensions make parking a new experience over the 1500. A line is crossed. I'd also get the parking sensors and towing mirrors at least for that blind spot on a 1500 or 2500/3500. Blind spot monitoring would be my preferred option. Update: About a year later and 10K miles over half towing, I love the 2500. For MY needs, the Hemi was the way to go, plenty of power for what I tow. It would be nice to see the next gen 2500/3500 be improved along the lines of the 1500 fifth gen, but it is still a relatively luxurious ride. I love the feeling of being "planted" on the road with the truck always in control vs the trailer allowing for a more relaxed towing experience. Mileage towing is in the same range as the 1500 surprisingly and at a bit of a higher speed all in all. I did do after market bumpers front with a winch fab fours matrix and I highly recommend either getting the OEM retractable side steps or gulping and getting the aftermarket versions like I did. AND, one year later, my very same truck MSRP is right at 10K more expensive than mine making my so so deal a great deal a year later in comparison along with the 3.24% interest rate vs the 8 and 9% rates of 2023. But now, the prices are breaking due to high cost and interest rates in mid 2023, so U2 might be able to get a decent deal again...

RAM has a transmission problem in their diesel trucks! Our 2022 RAM diesel truck has been at the dealership since November waiting for its 3rd transmission (11,000 miles on engine). They can’t even tell us what or when they are going to do anything!?!?!? This is our first RAM truck and we are beyond disgusted. We qualify under the lemon law in our state at this point, but is ashame that this is what it’s come down to. Don’t buy a RAM diesel right now, big problems with transmissions!
