got the truck in 2015. after my warranty, at 108000km...engine blows up. saying that it was going to cost me 6000K to fix it. i didnt want to pay, not suppose to happen after 108000 km especially when it is a brand new diesel truck suppose to run close to 500000 km. did all my oil change myself. kepted all the bills. so fought for it. they ended up paying because i was going on social media about it. last week (april 2021) same thing happened again. at 250000km. engine blows up. they want me to pay 15000$ for repairs. chrystler Canada nor the dealership wants to pay. IT IS NOT SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN. truck is a LEMON. change air master flow a couple years back. fan, in the truck stopped working. back windows doenst work anymore and more and more. problem with the transfert case, probleme with the def hose. DO NOT BY THIS TRUCK

Would never buy one again, at 120k miles I'm having to put 5000 dollars in it for stuff that shouldn't be broken. I'd say this truck is super cheap in the mechanical quality area and mediocre in everything else. Interior is OK but everything feels very cheap, steering wheel wore down super quick and everything's cheap plastic. Horrible blind spots, doors creak bad, etc. I've never owned a vehicle with this many issues, big and small. I'll never buy a Chrysler vehicle again, should have told myself that when our jeep wrangler was messed up to before we bought this truck. My 97 powerstroke is more reliable than this and it has 330k miles.

I have never owned a Dodge before and this like them since childhood with the whiny starter the cars had. I bought my Dodge ram 1500 diesel as an experiment. It did have a check engine light on at the dealership when I bought it which I was assured a recall that was due on it would take care of. Unfortunately I had a trip to make and did not make the complete trip as the exhaust gas recycle system was a recall and failed during the trip leaking antifreeze into the motor. From here I took it to a dealership we’re with a lot of arguing I was able to get it fixed but not to my satisfaction as the water going through the turbo had caused problems and the dealership in Savannah Georgia said they would let their mechanic decide and this intelligent fellow said there was no way the antifreeze would have damaged the turbo charger so I ended up paying for the turbo charger but Dodge took care of everything else. I made it home by the time I got home my check engine light was on again. I took it to another dealership not wanting to lose the warranty I had on all the new parts and their mechanic a much better diesel mechanic replaced the particulate matter and the debt filters and all associated sensors. Since then I have had no trouble to speak of other than the failure of one glow plug which I changed myself I would not recommend doing this yourself unless you are a seasoned mechanic. I am a retired aircraft mechanic so I was able to do this myself. My truck has 270,000 miles on it and now runs and handles as good as I imagine it did when it was new. Really do like the looks of the luxury and handling of this truck. The only real negative I have is for working on it yourself the V6 diesel is not user-friendly and getting access to work on. The dealership warranty depending on which dealership was OK to deal with although the one in Savannah I was really disappointed that they did not stand up and change the turbo charger as they have replaced everything before and after the turbo charger in the exhaust system yet maintain the turbo charger was not affected. I am now ready to purchase another truck and I’m torn between the Dodge and the Chevy 3.0 diesel right now I am leaning towards the GMC or Chevy for primarily two reasons one the in-line six would be much easier to work on and is getting better fuel economy than the Dodge. That said the Dodge has a much nicer ride than the general motors.
