Used 2011 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Consumer Reviews
Smooth and running strong
I bought my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 ST truck in July of 2022. It had 133k on the odometer and now has 145k. I drive a lot and been driving mopars for decades! This is probably my favorite all time vehicles and I didn't even get the best year. This is the year of the tipm Chinese relay issue Mopar tried to skate around like GM does. Mine has the fuel pump on a stand alone relay probably installed at the dealership or repair shop. But the truck runs great and I can't believe how smooth the ride is. I have the 3.7L V6 that everyone likes to bash. It's said to have poor fuel economy and so far I would have to concur that reality. I use full synthetic oil and fuel injection cleaner in the tank from time to time plus cleaned out the throttle body and put in top of the line spark plugs from njk and the fuel economy didn't improve much. But I tow for a living and my fuel economy sucks anyway. I would say it's the same as a hemi that you get a lot more performance from. I do love the quiet ride and feel of the inside vs my 15, 17, 19 all new, and 2020 classic Rams. I love the Ram 4th gen line but had a horrible experience in the all new 2019 Ram 1500. That truck is a lemon!!!! So the truck is about 12 years old now and the body looks great! Doors and latches are working like new. Engine is super smooth and doesn't leak oil. I replaced the main belt, and hoses as precautions. Also been flushing and changing fluids, like brake, power steering, antifreeze. I will be doing the transmission and rear gear next. So far all fluids look good. Shifts good even when towing. I was surprised when I am not towing and pass on a two lane highway. The rpms are high but the truck will go when the pedal is smashed :) my 17 Ram was the 3.6L all aluminum engine and that was by far a more powerful engine but lacked in sound and refinement. Sometimes when driving the 17 Ram there was a lag or delay when trying to accelerate. Something I don't notice on this truck. All in all I would recommend this Ram as it's stood up to the test of time and still runs strong. Not hard to imagine what it was like brand new.

Used 2011 Ram 1500 Quad
I bought a 2011 used Ram 1500 Quad (SLT). I've had it 8 weeks now, so I'm still in the "honeymoon stage". That said; so far it's a great truck. The ride is exceptional in the front seats. The rear seat is cramped (it's a quad not a crew). The quad has more bed length. I have the 4.7, not the Hemi (5.7). On the highway, I get 22mph. With easy city driving, I'm avg. 17 (with the AC off). It has a quiet, smooth ride. The quality apppears to be there inside and out. I have not towed with it yet.
2011 Ram 5.7L Hemi QC 4x4 SLT
I couldn't be more impressed with this truck. So far I've got nearly 3k miles on it. I can hardly stay out of it I enjoy driving it so much. The power is there when you need it and the fuel economy is very good for a full size truck. It looks great, and the build quality is light years ahead of the previous generation Ram. I love all of the interior amenities as well. This truck is very functional, and the ride quality is on par with some cars. The coil spring rear suspension is thing of beauty. It's a wonder that this hasn't been in a pickup before. Drove the Ford, and the Chevy and they don't even compare.
Thoroughly Drive This Beast Before You Buy
If you don't mind a "growly" engine and a vibration in the undercarriage in the "constantly seeking eco mode"..this is your truck. If you don't mind poor sight lines over the fenders, this is your truck..if you don't mind poor gas mileage, ( and, I'm talking 11mpg pure city and 16mpg max on long trips), this is your truck. If you don't mind poor paint quality, and poor customer service at the dealership, this is your truck. Never mind the deal you're going to get....it will cost you dearly when you go to sell it a few months later, when you don't enjoy even driving it anymore.
