It's OK
I guess I'm just not as blown away as everyone else. We have put 10,000 miles on our GTP now and I think it is a nice car but I do have a couple gripes; fuel economy, and power. It seems like a car with 240 horses should be a little quicker (hint - push and hold the traction control button for 5 second to turn off stability control!). Our average fuel economy is 19-20 mpg with my light-on- the-gas wife driving. Interior and exterior fit and finish are great. The layout of the interior was well thought out. Big trunk with a relatively small opening.
Awesome Coupe!
After 5000 miles, this car is fantastic. I had a 2000 Grand Prix GTP coupe that I traded in for this (didn't like the new Grand Prix). And for it being smaller than the GP, it has a bigger back seat! Love the looks and design. If this is the direction Pontiac/GM is going, they should start gaining some market back in the US. Got many many looks and comments with the car. Only thing I had to do was buy snow tires and smaller rims for the winter. Upstate NY has the nickname "The great white north..." ;-)

Love it!!!
I just bought this car last week after test driving civic, accord, eclipse and Scino TC. I had a 2000 Grand Am and it has served me well. This car has more options for the money vs other makes\models and drives very smooth and has plenty of pep. So far, I'm very happy with my choice!
Nothing but troubles
Very nice car, but had nothing but issues on it from day one. Biggest issue is the 3900, the head gasket just leaks and leaks. Dealership made it worse, GM told me to sue dealership. Had my mechanic repair head, stop leaking for 6 months and still leaks. Wasn't for the engine issue I would love this car for years. One big complaint, I feel the seats are too stiff for long rides and need several seat adjustments. But body is very nice and slick, and this car performs well 0-60 in a tad over 6 seconds. Fuel economy average is 18 city and 23 hwy. Don't know how got a 26 MPG hwy ratting, I never have hit that even with car never going over 2500 RPM from a stop.
Return to American
After more than 12 years in Japanese Sports Touring upscale cars I have returned to domestic and am astounded at the degree of technical sophistication and build excellence that have been incorporated at a very reasonable price point. Viva American!
