I was initially excited about purchasing a 2006 Titan; however, on my way home from the dealership the vehicle started to experience brake problems and a vibrating steering wheel. This vehicle has already been in the shop three times, all four rotors and pads have been replaced--to no avail. Nissan has been uncooperative and the dealership is incompetent. On paper, the specs look great, but I'm seriously concerned about the safety and reliability of this truck. I've also started experiencing engine hesitation and rattling from underneath the bed. This is my second and last Nissan. I performed some research on the internet and these problems appear somewhat common.
My Titan
I recently bought an 06 LE Titan for my 17th birthday. It is one sweet truck. It came stock with the Rockford Fosgate system. I by far have the nicest truck of the school, and defenitly in the top 20 of this city. It has racing tires with 20's, and the heavy duty chrome package. I put some 40's flows on it, and my friends have nicked named the truck Screaming Demon. Gas just seems to be put on fast forward in it however. Its really hard crossing town or just cruising without someone wanting to race or feeling the need to rev their less superior engine.

2006 Nissan Titan
I bought this truck and had electrical and transmission problems from first day I got truck stay away from this truck it is very expensive to repair
Awesome Truck!
I got the off-road version and love it. Great acceleration, quiet ride except for the great sounding exhaust, well designed interior, and tremendous pulling power for towing our travel trailer. It handles extremely well for a truck and does not lean in the least on high speed turns. Ride is a little on the stiff side but that is the way it should be for a truck. The huge tires roll easily over potholes that jarred my smaller SUV. Mileage is only 15 mpg for around town type of driving but I didn't expect any better. Build quality is way superior to Ford, Chevy, and Dodge and perhaps comparable to the Toyota. The Toyota was unacceptable for us due to its lack of towing ability.
Best PU I've driven
I have owned three pick-ups in the last 7 years. This pick-up truck is by far the best I've driven. I have had no warranty issues so far in the first 6,000 miles of ownership. This truck performs like no other truck I've driven in it's class. It has more power and torque than my previous Ford F-150 4x4 and Chevrolet 1500 4x4. It gets OK fuel economy but I have a heavy tow package & low gears so I have to expect that!! This Pick-up has the best comfort features that I've seen. I think that Consumer Reports is definetly dealing with scewed data when they report this vehicle with a poor reliability record. Somebody is in their back pockets!!
