A Worthy Alternative to The Big 3
I bought my '18 5.6 SV 4x4 new in February 2019 as a leftover model. Having had several Nissan's (9) currently and in the past (including a regular 06 Titan), I was very familiar with the manufacturer's product. The truck doesn't serve as my daily driver, but does see plenty of use for projects around my property. I probably could have made do with the regular Titan, but I was able to pick this one up several thousand dollars cheaper than any of those available within 300 miles. The truck has more than enough power to tow or haul, provided that you stay within the limits specified by Nissan. I have towed the same 8k trailer behind this and an F-150, and would choose the Nissan every time! With a nearly indestructible spray-in bedliner, Utilitrack cleats, and LED under rail lighting there isn't much you can haul that will create any real worries. The elevated load height of the bed is slightly cumbersome but it is a fair trade for the increased payload capacity. The ride is pretty stiff and jittery over rough pavement, but within tolerable levels given the "XD" capabilities. I knew going in that the gas mileage wouldn't be spectacular. Unladen, I usually average 15-16 mpg in mixed city/country driving. I know Ford/Chevy/Ram all advertise higher ratings for their half ton trucks, but I'm willing to bet this is within spitting distance of what they actually see on a daily basis. I guess if I had to identify my biggest complaint, it would be the paint quality on the vehicle. There are areas where the clearcoat and paint are so thin you can actually feel a difference. Though you can't physically see the thin spots, they scratch to the metal with minimal contact. I have spoken with Nissan, and they assure me the finish is within their paint thickness specifications as tested at a local dealer (which I find hard to believe). None of my previous Nissan vehicles have exhibited paint quality issues in any manner, so perhaps this is one of the very few exceptions to their normally high standards. Regardless, I will have to pay someone to detail and apply a ceramic coating if I want the truck to stay looking decent (admittedly, I am slightly more OCD inclined than most normal people in this realm). Overall, I would highly recommend giving the Nissan a look if you're in the market for a new truck. It won't compete with the usual domestic heavy duty versions, but that was never the intent for this truck. It was designed to haul and tow in a more stable fashion than half ton trucks, and it does this very well. If you stay with the S and SV trims, they are a relative bargain.

I really like this truck.
I liked this truck when I first saw it in July of 2018 but I wasn't ready to buy and I have always been a Ford person. I traded in my 2010 F150 which I purchased new from a local dealer and had numerous issues with the trucks paint and speaker system. The items were fixed by the dealer but not until I made appointments with the owner. It shouldn't have to be this way and I cannot comment on Nissan yet but I do hope we have a better relationship. I have to be honest and say I tried hard to buy another F150 but I just could not get them to come to my price. So I went back to look at the Nissan one last time, the trim package that comes with the truck is far superior to what Ford was offering at 3-4 K higher price. Nissan gave me Lariet options less than the XLT price! The interior is great and roomy, I love the storage system under the bed and toolbox and tie-down system in the bed. Ford didn't even offer any of those options. I only have 2 complaints the electronics are needing. (1)Pretty basic Bluetooth and the GPS system. (2) It is thirsty, but what can you expect from a 5.6 V8. The web says to expect an average of 18 between city and highway driving. I will be happy if I see 15! I have had the truck 6 months now, the gas mileage is still an issue 13.0 City and 15.5 highway, not very good. The "apps" like I heart and google search don't work and the Customer support tells you if they don't they just don't!.

good review after 24000 miles and 3 years
aside from a primitive phone interface, the truck has been flawless, on road and off, towing and driving in general. interior is superior.
