Used 2017 Nissan Sentra Sedan Consumer Reviews
Car is nothing but problems
So this car is not worth the money spent on it. It has had constant problems very poorly designed and cheaply made. First off I've owned this can for a year and a half still under warranty. Forst thing to fail was the door handles literally fell off. The brakes squeal and I've been told by the dealership that all Nissan's do that.then less than 6 months after purchasing this vehicle it constantly loses power. I will be driving amd all of the sudden it loses power and camy go over 35 mph. I have had the car in for service several times and they cant figure out what's wrong with it they just keep replacing random parts waiting for the warranty to run out. If you are thinking about buying the sentra sr turbo DON'T!!!

DON'T BUY A LEMON OF A CAR
The warrenty is misleading, the cvt transmission in this vehicle has a lemon law against it. They are known to break down and nissan will not fix it.over all the customer service with Nissan USA is no help! I have a 2017 sitting at home that i owe $18,000 on and cant drive do to a $4000 transmission .problem, this is the second time i had problems with car. First time was all the sensors went bad at less than 36000 miles.better off buying a used vehicle than buy a sentra. Only good thing it is pretty safe in a driver door accident.ok update,3/2020. My thoughts on my car has only gotten worse, just replaced the exhaust mainfold($486) and again i wouldnt suggest a nissan to anyone. Exwife bought a 2018 sentra sv and she is going through same problems, sensors went out, then transmission went out.i still own this car today 09/14/2020 & i still say dont buy a sentra.its 09/16/2021 my gf bought a 2019 sentra worst mistake ever, 45,000 miles and the transmission is slipping so again dont buy any cars from nissanok it 2022 gf has bought a 2019 nissan sentra and guess what problem after problem, so now nissan has made the versa the old sentra and the altima the new sentra, and the maxima the new altima and did away with maximas,a total joke think you change the name of a car it gonna be better? Lol again dont buy a nissan

Dont buy!
I had a new 17 Sentra 1.8 stick and had issues with the carpet always coming out from the plastic. No fix. The shifting was so jerking and rocked back before it went forward always it was crazy and never got better did notice sport mode made it better so something with programming. Had a rattle from the timing chain tensioner from 500miles and nissan refused to fix it cause the other ones made the same sound even though the dealer stated it was a problem. Finally after it got louder then the new cars after 20k miles they put in a new motor and it still made the noise so I don't expect the motors to last with that issue. Also after 10k I started to hear a clunk everytime the motion changed. The dealer greased the half shafts from a service bulletin which fixed it but it's only a temp fix. But if your persistence or wanna invoke the lemon law hopefully you can get out of it.

Love the car
Fun to drive stick. Averaging 34.7 mixed city/highway. Large interior and trunk. Great car and got a fantastic deal.

Not your Granny's Sentra
A nice middle of the road-no pun intended- sedan that ,remember, is an economy car not a performance car. But this is a nice riding, good looking car that exceeds the earlier iterations by a mile. I have not had it long enough to know about how reliable it will be, but so far I'm happy with it. Do not know the resale value yet.
