Don't get if you drive in heavy traffic
I am not happy with the performance of this Rogue. I realize driving the CVT engine is different but seriously, it sounds like its going to take off but yet it doesn't. It's not safe to pass on a 2 lane road, or to dodge in and out of traffic - which I need to do in the DC area. It is extremely comfortable inside, lots of storage room and handles well. The dealer could never figure out why my radio won't get the same stations in the same area that my husband's 2013 Nissan Altima gets. I'm looking to trade it in on a Hyundai Tucson - both my son (2016) and daughter (2018) have one and the difference in the engine's performance is worth not having the same amount of cargo room.

Not what everyone else is talking about
2015 SV AWD At the first service I complained about a cold start rattle, a vibration in the steering wheel at 1500rpm, poor temperature control we could not get the car interior to warm up, and poor lighting, At every service I complained about the same things. At the third service appointment the had the shop foreman go for a ride with me, he had a ready explanation for everything, but when I asked about service bulletins I was told they knew about the issues but they had nothing on paper. We just returned from a 3200 mile trip and the car performed very well, with a average of 28 to 29 miles per gal. The car is comfortable to drive, but as a former Service Writer and Service Manager, I know when I am being BS'd. I do not feel comfortable in trusting the reliability of the car. At this point I will ask to see the District Service Rep. when I take the car in for its next appointment. 4/10/17 Update, I talked with the factory rep. about the dissatisfaction with the car and was more less told to go blow smoke. The heater (climate control) still does not work the way I think it should. I still have the vibration at 1500 rpm, but now there is a recall on the CVT for a computer fix? I can not say I would ever buy another Nissan due to factory indifference, but the dealer personnel have been more than accommodating and I would do business with them again

How can they call this a NAV system?
I recently bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue with "NAV". This car is not equiped with a NAV system it is a map system only. If you want NAV you have to pay a monthly fee to Sirius something the dealership neglected to advise me of. . I have owned the car for 2 months, and during this time during the free trial period have been stuck several times in traffic situations Only to be "warned" of a problem while already stuck in it. This system is totally uselees and a complete waste of money

Excellent vehicle
Love the car. Dealership was great But more important than anything, I would not have bought the car if it had not been for edmunds.com. I would not have found the car if not for them. Great service

Very OK suv
More like a car than an suv. Honestly I’m generally happy with the car but it takes a bit to respond to the pedal if I’m trying to accelerate at a fast rate and the acceleration isn’t even that great anyway. Front right strut was replaced at 20k miles and needs to be replaced again right now at 65k miles. Transmission acts up, sometimes it gets stuck at 3200rpm, meaning I can take my foot off of the gas and it still hovers there for a while before it shifts down. Electronics are solid though and backseat has a decent amount of room. I wouldn’t recommend buying this car because of the transmission, lack of power, the strut problem, and the value of the car.

Great Car - Leased it then bought it!
My wife will never write a review on a car but I know she loves her Rogue. Now has 50k trouble free miles on it and she likes everything about it. It is a perfect size for Grand babies, not to big for our garage but big enough for car seats and groceries. I love the way you can arrange the cargo space to be more conducive to shifting groceries. It gets like 33mpg in summer on hwy and around 30 in winter I think. Smooth ride and love the lane change warnings and the all around cameras when backing. It has nice features for the price. Navigation is nice for when you on roads you are not familiar with at night. TPS tells you how much each tire has in it. You can go into the settings and change some of the handling settings. Read the manual on this one it has some electronic things you can change. I wish it had a tad more leg room I'm tall and wouldn't want to travel in it for more than a couple of hours. She loves it and when we travel we take my car. Great value! I have only changed the oil and air filter. No other issues.

Wouldn't recommend it
The ride is bumpy, the visibility out the back and blind spots is poor, the exterior is already rusting, the AC comes on whenever we move the climate controls, and the fuel economy is lower than stated.

Great little SUV
Great gas mileage, comfortable , easy to handle, no expensive repairs
Have been reliable so far for almost 100K miles
Bought my brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue SV (AWD) in 2015 and now after 9 years with almost 100K mileage, the car has been virtually reliable. Original engine and transmission, with some minor issues such as replacing O2 sensor during my ownership. In the beginning I was wary of CVT transmission failures based complaints found online but so far the CVT transmission is still running strong. I change transmission fluid every 40K miles as a maintenance.

Transmission
Don't buy it. Transmission's a money pit. $5,000 every 6 months? Can't get rid of it fast enough. Plus Infinity proves that Nissan knows how to make a car right but they only will do it for the luxury line. I'm over Nissan.

Great SUV
This is a very good SUV. Nice interior compare to other SUV in same range. Only problem is the bird eye view means surrounding camera work only up to 5 mph. I wish they work up to 20-30 mph as in CRV on left turn signal. Cons: Horrible speech recognition for hand free phone and navigation activation. Does not under stand what is being commanded. Give wrong phone numbers when ask.

Utterly disappointed with quality of Nissan Rogue
Air conditioning quit working while on the road, in hot and humid FL weather with only 2 years of ownership and 58K miles on odometer. AC compressor locked up, dealer want $1,500 to repair the AC. Additionally, rusting bolts in the engine compartment where components are mounted to the body. The rust appeared about a year ago and rapidly progressing. This SUV is JUNK.

Looks newer than 2015
Loved the car and wasn't priced too bad. Dealership left a lot to be desired. The "manager" was nasty and not willing to listen or work with me wasn't sure if it is because I'm a woman and not a man. Salesman forgot to order the things he promised until I called 2 weeks later to see what happened.

My first Nissan
The radio display used for the backup camera should be larger. There is too much road noise. CVT would not be my first choice.

Paint & Vibrations
Paint chips, have a dark color paint and when it chips a light color primer show they should use a dark primer. Also Dealer checked out vibrations in front end and stearlng never remaded it.they said it’s due to the 5cyl.engine that stinks because I had a 2012 Nissan with a 4 cup and had no problems like this. Don’t Buy

Transmission issue
Almost all Nissan Rogue's have a CVT transmission which, due to recent reliability and dependability issues, Nissan had to replace many and extend the warranty on the powertrain. Historical records show poor performance and very few owners/drivers liking it. This was enough for us to reevaluate choosing the Rogue, especially after both daughters had to dump their vehicles that had CVT's and get newer replacement vehicles with regular automatic transmissions. The Rogue has so many features that are on the plus side - it is a shame the one bad point had to be a major one. Not going to have my wife out on some road when the CVT totally gives out!

looks better than it drives
Back seat sits up higher when front seat. Which makes it hard to look out your back window. Rough Drive between 20-45 miles per hour. Turning is unbalanced,,,,, it almost feels like you're about to tip over.

Anti-lock system is a problem
It's okay-- not great. Decent mpg and comfort, good acceleration even in "econ" driving mode. Drawbacks: very high road noise above 60 mph, I had to replace a front wheel bearing at 56K, and the anti-lock braking kicks in way too fast and too hard so you can't stop the car at all on anything slippery. (I live in Maine.)

Rust Bucket!
Stay far away from this car if you live in an area that gets snow. I loved driving this car since it was bought new in 2015. Now, the entire back end has rusted through and the garage called when the quote to fix it hit $3,800! Nope, never another Nissan. My first 2011 Rogue had transmission issues that started right after we bought the 2015. No CVT's and no more Nissan for this household!
