Transmission Nissan should have a recall

CVT Transmissions are JUNK, Pewaukee, WI, 05/25/2018

That the CVT transmissions are junk. You can only buy rebuild kits through Nissan for $5400 parts only. Not including labor to remove and replace or rebuilding. Quotes through a private mechanic starts at $6300. Nissan has an abundant amount of re-manufactured transmissions for $3800 + labor. Makes one wonder if Nissan is trying to cover them selves for a civil suite following a recall.

NISSAN Never Again

Never a NISSAN AGAIN IN MY LIF, Springfield Gardens, NY, 04/03/2019

I purchased my 2012 Nissan Rouge in October 2017 at a dealership known then as Lee's Toyota in Jamaica, Queens, New York. The dealership has changed names to Hillside Toyota. On February 15, 2019, after only owning the vehicle for 14 months and at 60,600 miles the CVT Transmission was dead. Replacing it will cost me around $4,000. The dealership and NIssan of North America will neither take care of the repair or replacement for selling a faulty vehicle. Companies should be held liable and responsible for taken unsuspecting customer money and putting them in ridiculous situations. NISSAN SHOULD WARN UNSUSPECTING DRIVERS THAT THE CAR WILL NOT ACELERATE ON HIGHWAYS AND THIS MAY CAUSE HARM TO THEM AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD. SHAME ON THEM. Please stay clear and do not purchase the 2012 Nissan Rouge I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS COMPANY. SHAME ON THEM.

2 years old and already major repairs.

The CVT poses major safety concerns. My car lost power on the freeway in heavy traffic slowing to less than 20mile per hour. My car is 2 years old and just over the power train warranty of 60k. I was told it would be 3k to replace the transmission. This reminds me of the old lemons of the 80's when quality was at all time lows. This is the last Nissan I'll ever own.

Two years in as im driving down the highway truck began to rev high and loose speed rapidly. Took it to the dealer and was told they found an error code but would need to duplicate the problem. After they had it for three days and put over 100 miles on it, the final decision was since it did not have engine failure on them the vehicle was safe and reliable to drive. Spoke with Nissan USA, and was informed I would have to get stuck on the side of the road again, bring the vehicle back and then they would look further into fixing my troubles. This will be the LAST nissan/Infiniti I EVER purchase as they do not stand by their vehicles.. as previously stated I had less than 45k!

Unreliable Vehicle

Why I Drive Hondas, Sugar Land, TX, 11/10/2021

After only 70,000, I had to replace my CV joints, axles, oil cooler and belt. $3,100 - $3,200! I got well over 100,000 miles out of all my Hondas before having to make these repairs on my Nissan. Yeah, Hondas cost more. But what is the extra time worth that you spend unable to work because your Nissan is in the shop? The frequent repairs on this Rogue continue to drain my finances. It's the most unreliable vehicle I've ever had in my garage. Asked to update my review a year after the aforementioned content. I still would never buy a Nisssan. The Rogue's expensive repairs continue to exceed my '09 Honda Accord's.
