Drove for 3 weeks & been in the shop since

At three weeks old, the car had an electrical issue and wouldn’t crank. The lift gate wouldn’t even open. Towers to dealership. New ground bolt. 4 days later, same problem and was towed again to dealership. Has been at the dealership for 2 weeks now. Dash has been pulled out. Dealership can’t find the problem. Nice car if it worked

Windows randomly go down

We purchased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder in October 2021. It seemed great at first, we love the interior minus the passenger seat being low. It is a big jerky and the auto start is premature... but otherwise the ride isn't bad. HOWEVER, the heated seats broke 2 months into owning the car. Once those were fixed, our windows kept randomly going down and went down at 1:30am during a huge snowstorm... the whole car filled with ice and snow. They originally told me they couldn't take it for 5 days. I demanded a replacement and for them to pick it up. Two weeks later and they said nothing was wrong with it. I'm so disappointed... I really wanted to like this car but don't feel like I can trust it due to constantly glitching being only 5 months old!

Needs Work

When purchasing this vehicle, at first sight I was pleased. However, when sitting on the inside the seats are extremely low. The drivers side height can be adjusted but the passenger side is awful. When it's cold in the mornings, the dash lights flash. The touchscreen display goes black and sometimes it comes back on and other times you have to turn the car off to reset and it may come back on. The apple carplay feature doesn't always work so you may end up holding the phone to answer a call. The display screen also freezes and will not allow you to hang up a call. This vehicle is not air tight. The wind noise when on the highway is extremely loud and the heater is very loud and takes forever to heat up.

Luxurious and capable

I have just over 23k miles on the Pathfinder now. It's been great. It's gas mileage is very good for the class. I love towing with this over a full size truck. It's so much easier to move through tight spaces and flip U turns. I have had one hiccup that was quickly and easily fixed under warranty. the install techs didn't install enough slide pin lube on the rear brakes at the factory causing them to seize and wear out prematurely. They said they were aware of this issue and would pay for all of it under warranty. My local dealer swapped it out in a day and no issues since. I feel Nissan's tech systems are far easier to use than other brands, such as Hyundai and Subaru. The Pro Pilot assist makes driving a breeze for road trips. I haven't had any ping ponging off of lanes while using this system, it tracks straight and true. This is something I can't say for many other systems I have tried. I think Tesla is the only one I have tried that did better than this. I love the interior design on this, it's something next level for the money. This isn't the Pathfinders of old that could go off-roading in Moab, but it does pretty good off road and should be more than enough for the average user. I love the 9 speed transmission. Glad Nissan switched to this for the vehicle. It's perfectly geared for all situations and it's easy to grab a gear if you need to slow a load while towing or get more torque for a hill. All the maintenance on this vehicle is incredibly simple and due to the engine layout there is plenty of space. Only issue I could see is if you at some point 150k miles or more down the road need to remove the exhaust, where three cylinders are located in the rear against the firewall. This rides very quietly on the highway and is compliant at soaking up most harsh bumps. Seats are comfortable when they break in. Many Nissans need a good 40k miles for the seats to break in I have noticed historically, so once you hit about that they really soften up. They do that to ensure they last longer. In my experience this works and is better than having seats worn out at only 100k miles. I don't have much negative to say about it other than I wish it came with wireless android auto from the factory, but it's easy and cheap enough to get the wireless kit for it.

Great Improvement over Previous Models

This is our 3rd Pathfinder; 7th Nissan for our household. We loved our previous 2013 and 2018 Pathfinders - all drove well, loved CVT smoothness, Nissan reliability. This 2022 Pathfinder does have a better design appearance, wider trunk that golf bags fit transversely (thank you!!), and still has smooth shifting despite getting away from CVT, and more comfortable all around. Easy access to occasional 3rd row seats for the grandkids. Plenty of power for family and normal driving from this proven and reliable (non-turbo) V6 engine.
