Used 2011 Nissan Murano Consumer Reviews
Bad Seats
Seats are very uncomfortable and do not have enough adjustments. Rear cargo area is cheap, piece of carpeted plywood covers the spare tire. Used AWD last night for the first time, it stayed engaged even at 40/45 mph, the manual says it cuts off after driving past 6 mph. I may not entirely understand the AWD feature. Rear seats recline, very nice feature for rear passengers. Very smooth car like ride. Overall a nice vehicle but the seats are a real drawback, my 2001 Pathfinder seats were much more comfortable.
Stay away from any Nissan with a CVT transmission!
DON'T BUY ANY NEW NISSAN VEHICLE! The CVT transmission on Nissan vehicles is the epitome of disaster! I bought mine used without reviewing the CVT transmission problems. I would not have purchased this vehicle if I had read the complaints about this problem! My Murano had 165,000 on it when purchased in November of 2018. Towards the end of December, the transmission began making noise and started having trouble accelerating. Someone needs to shut Nissan down in order to stop the sale of their vehicles equipped with the CVT transmission!

Marvelous
P1778 - Step Motor Function is a known Transmission issue from Nissan and still did not issue Recalls up to 2011. Had i known that i would never have bought a Nissan!! And never will!!...I called Mcgrath lexus in Westmont & promise me they would call back and never did. So much in buying from a known dealer.i was better off buying from a Mom and Pop dealer still dealt with the same headache

Anyone own a S Model?
I just purchased a murano 2010 an S model. It's been 2 months but I enjoy my car and feel good driving it, always liked the Nissan.
Transfer case problem
I've had my Murano 19 mo. and have enjoyed the style, handling and fair gas mpg so far, avg. 23 mpg overall. Last mo. noticed oil seeping from the transfer case, took it to the dealer thinking oil seals needed replaced and was told the complete transfer case would be changed. Four days later it was fixed, (free rental car was given), and everything seems fine now. After reading many stories online about transfer case and cvt trans. problems involving earlier years I'm a little concerned that they may not have been rectified.
