Great for the price!
Does it have all the fancy new technology? No. But if you don’t need all of that, or if you’re worried that all of that stuff is likely to be expensive if it fails, this is a great option! The new 3.8 liter V6 has plenty of power and the 9-speed automatic is buttery smooth. I disagree with the Edmunds review, I think it’s very easy to drive on pavement. Of course it doesn’t have a small turning radius, but I live in the Atlanta area, and I don’t have issues driving this little truck in a big city. The interior is surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Through all of the years of this interior, I think they’ve perfected the design. There are no creaks, rattles, or poor fit. The materials on the dash are hard plastic, but the PRO-4X has plenty of leather that is soft on the seats and door panels. And as far as technology goes, it’s like the old Xterra saying “everything you need, nothing you don’t”. You’ll have one USB port, an aux jack, navigation system (PRO-4X trims), a great Rockford Fosgate sound system (PRO-4X only again), power seats, heated seats, dual zone automatic climate control, and a sunroof (PRO-4X only again). I would’ve loved it if it had adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, lane keep assist, and other modern driving aids, but I’m assuming I would be paying a lot more too! I don’t think any of the features this truck has are likely to break. My gas mileage hasn’t been great, I’ve been averaging 17mpg in mixed driving. I’m still breaking the truck in, so I am anticipating that to change. But the best part of this truck is the price. The MSRP for my fully loaded PRO-4X trim is over $39k, but I got mine at a tick over $34k. Dealers are discounting these because a redesign is on its way, and they know it doesn’t compete well with other trucks in the segment when it comes to features. But if you’re like me and you’re happy with the options this does have, you can get this at a bargain. Plus, at the time I bought it, this was the only mid-size truck being sold with 0% interest financing. I think it’s worth a test-drive for buyers of mid-size trucks. I’m very happy with my Arctic Blue PRO-4X so far!

Reasonably priced basic truck
I've only had mine for a few days, but if you bargain you can get one for much less than a Ranger, Colorado or Tacoma and, at the end of the day, it does what a truck is supposed to do; haul stuff around that won't fit inside a cabin. The motor has as much power as you will find in this segment, it drives and rides fine, you just don't get much in the way of advanced electronics or creature comforts. It's not in the drop downs, but I have the S Crew Cab with a 6 ft bed.
- SV Crew CabMSRP: $25,990
- PRO-4X Crew CabMSRP: $33,990
- PRO-4X Crew CabMSRP: $21,598
Top of the Line.
I’m very grateful and happy with my new 2020 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x in the Color Blue. The truck it’s a beautiful truck over all. it’s a beautiful truck it runs smoothly, all the gears change pretty nice and smooth. It makes very little noise, you can’t even feel like you’re driving on the freeway. It drive beautiful, it just a enjoyable ride. I love the interior it’s easy to clean up. The track System on the bed is amazing for my furniture store.

Love my Fronty
I have a 2020 Frontier Pro 4X. I reviewed and test drove every mid sized 4X4 truck on the market, and settled on this one. It is a capable truck, reliable and has a history of reliability that is impressive. The truck is comfortable, I don't seem to have the same issue with noise that drive reports have, maybe they should close the roof. It does lack many of the available driver aides, but if you are an attentive driver, you really don't need these. Overall, I have been impressed by the Frontier, and the Pro 4X is very competent off road.

2020 Nissan Frontier SV Great Truck-Engine Fails
I purchased a certified pre-owned 2020 Nissan Frontier SV Truck with less than 3,500 miles in May 2021 and in January 2022 at 18,500 miles it started making a huge noise in engine area and stalled in road out of state. I called my dealership I purchased truck from 20 times and they finally answered & gave me NISSAN warranty service phone number to call for assistance. I was stranded for 4 hrs until could get to different dealership that did NOT have a replacement vehicle for me or have a standard rate contract with a rental car company so I had to stay overnight in shady hotel until morning to get Enterprise Rental Car to get me and rent vehicle (at my cost) to return home. I had to pay for rental cars for over 4 weeks at cost of $1,265 to my credit card until I can turn in all receipts to Nissan and hopefully get reimbursed ASAP since my vehicle is under original warranty and it is the ENGINE that needs replaced in truck. Very strange that the vehicle was inspected for CPO Warranty yet the ENGINE failed. So, reliability of 2020 Frontier for me is NOT good when it breaks down after 8 months and Corporations as big as NISSAN cannot help customers out by having corporate sponsorships with rental car companies (like insurance companies do) to pay warranty claims so customer has NO out of pocket expense and always has a vehicle to get home when their vehicles fail us. After 4 weeks I received a call from Dealership that my Engine parts are on backorder yet they finally had a rental car for me to pick up out of state at their dealership at no cost....YEH! I did ask dealership how much for trade in of my vehicle to new one and they wanted to give me $4,500 less than I owe; even when my truck is worth more than I owe because of shortage of used trucks. So, I wait! UPDATE: My Nissan Frontier SV Truck has now been in shop 75 days with engine parts on backorder and NISSAN CORP says they will NOT give me good trade in value for my vehicle to upgrade to new one AND will NOT reimburse me $1,265 in rental car fees for month I am owed until my vehicle is fixed and case is closed. I looked up TN LEMON LAW and from my understanding if vehicle breaks down in 1st year under warranty and is in shop over 30 calender days; the vehicle is INDEED A "LEMON" and the law applies so I must take action to be able to be reimbursed the purchase price & all fees minus damages and fair mileage to be treated FAIRLY.
