Rally Red Lancer GTS CVT

CVT takes a little getting used to. It's much quicker using the paddle shifters or manual mode if you want to jet off the line. I put a Takeda SRI intake-cheap/easy mod and it wakes it up a little bit/sounds great The GTS handles extremely well. It really does feel like a sport sedan in the curves and it's fun to use the paddles on the back roads. Steering is great. Cruises effortlessly on the freeway at 80+. Seats are very comfortable. Interior is nice if not spectacular. My only gripe with my GTS is I find the gas pedal angle kind of uncomfortable. It's too short or something. I got some larger RAZO aftermaket pedals which I'll be installing soon to help alleviate.

This car is everything I wanted since the 2008 Lancer's came out. I have a 2011, and it makes me super happy to finally drive one! It is mean looking, and aggressive. For being completely stock, I have won plenty of races, and my car is still stock. So if you want a car that is great on gas, relatively cheap, amazing looks on the inside and out, and can go quick for stock, I'd highly recommend either the GTS, or the Ralliart.

Great looking vehicle. Bought mine used last year (2020). Couldn't be happier with it; sporty, handles great, love the simplistic but functional console/dash. A bit of deep roar in the motor I wasn't expecting. And nowhere as fuel efficient as other models in it's class. But I love it because it aint a Civic.

Transmission fluid problem

Gia, 08/11/2022

It did great for 120,000 miles almost. It got to where driving 75 mph for 1 hour was causing the "slow down" light to come on even though the temperature guage never went above half. Google told me it was maybe the gasket drain plug and something about reducing the amount of fluid in it. 2 mechanics couldn't find anything wrong with my car. Having to pull over again and again to let the car rest 15-20 minutes everytime I drove for 1.5 hours was getting difficult. One day I just kept driving at lower speeds for 20 minutes and the transmission fluid burned... Mistake...because changing it can ruin your car. So.... yeah, probably getting a different car.
