Slowness, some body roll, and an unreliable A/C
This was my first car. It wasn't the worst car I've ever driven in the price range I got it for, but it definitely wasn't the best. It was fairly slow and didn't handle amazing, but those were never very big issues. The problems started with the A/C, an area the gave constant issues... Not only were replacement parts for the knobs expensive (even when bought used) but the wiring and gears behind the dash are extremely inaccessible. I spent hundreds trying to fix the A/C to no avail. This car is an okay point A to point B car, but if you're looking for something fun and cheap, look elsewhere.

Only Lancer better would be the EVO
I didn't want to get another Lancer as my wife has an '03 OZ, but I was swayed once I test drove it. It powered into traffic without effort. I was pushed into my seat by unexpected torque. I was sold at that point. The frills (sunroof and Infinity sound system) were just the proverbial icing on the cake.
Giving Leeway
I thought that the car was very much a cheap and quick rip off. I wish I had seen this before I bought it because I now know it thoroughly. It is quick through town, but has slow acceleration on the highways.
