Van now has 155,000 miles and has had only minor problems... but some worth mentioning. O2 sensor has been replaced twice, transmission has been extremely jerky at times. Interior quality is poor, with trim cracking or fading in many locations.

The Villager has been fault free since purchase. I have replaced the shocks and struts. The strut mounts and some of the rubber components on the front end needed replacement. This is the only work I have had done over its life. The repair shop claimed he does a lot of Nissan suspensions of this vintage. The body & interior integrity are superb after this time and miles.

I had purchased this vehicle 2 years old and have been pleased with the outcome. Minor problems include rear wiper never works, the hinge to open and close the window on sliding door the pin keeps coming out, had to have oxygen sensor replaced. I am currently having problems with the electric door locks. They like to lock and unlock unexpectedly. It can be a challenge to unlock the door and try to open the door before the locks lock again. Middle seat is not easily removed. I find the vehicle easy to manuever. Overall I am happy with the vehicle. I would purchase another.

Very pleased with the van now with 166,000 miles. Bought it in 1998. Just had to retire it today. The transmission is slippin' away. Too expensive to replace. My wife and I wish they still made them. Many fond memories. We'd buy another. It doesn't owe us a thing. Many x-country trips with no problems.

Best Car Ever Made

After 10 years of faithful service, I am selling my van today to make way for a sporty new SUV. Based on reading other reviews, I obviously was lucky to purchase the best-built Villager ever. The original engine and tranny are still strong after 10 years, electrical works perfect, ride is smooth and quiet. This has been a noble, reliable friend to my family.
