Too cheap to buy a new car, 06/11/2022

Best vehicle I’ve ever had! I bought it 10 years ago with 50000 and it just turned 234567. I figure that’s about 15,000 gallons worth of gas. Oh, there’s a lot of little things that don’t work such as instrumentation/radio lights and drivers door has to be open from the inside, The only major work it’s needed was typical Ford front end rebuild and a new AC compressor. And spark plugs. That’s it. I keep the oil changed and that V-8 keeps on running. AC is colder than my wife’s new car and more comfortable. I’ve been rear ended no less than six times in my commute to work with no major damage. I think I’ve waxed it once since I’ve had it but the paint still looks nice. It’s become a personal challenge to see how long it will last.

Rwd 5.0 189,000 miles, still running damn good

I just bought mine used about a month ago with 189,000 mi on it for$2100, besides needing some new tires brakes sway bar links tie rod ends and upper control arms she runs like a beast doesn't leak anything moonroof did leak at one point so a lot of the electrical is messed up on the inside all outside works, rwd, 5.0, 3500 and the AC works.. and as far as gas mileage goes honestly you're probably better with the 5.0, it has to work way less than the V6 I know I had a 98 Ford explorer when it was new and it had all kinds of problems way worse than the mountaineer that's 25 years old LOL solid truck in my opinion so far

Bad or Great

I loved this Ute. in the beginning, but one problem has lead to another. First there was electrical with the Radio. Then they replaced it and we lost all signal hhhmmmmmmmmmm. We put the old one back in, and now I have memorized the functions since I can't see them anymore. The turn signal is now broken, and I think there is a knock in the Transmision. We are currently trying to sell this PO_ and buy a car. We spent 19,000 on this car and a year later we will be lucky to get 14,000 even more pathetic.
