Excellnt vehicle for a single or a family of 4. State-of-the-art safety features, make this a vehicle to consider if you are thinking about family safety. I purchased the E320 but wish I had purchased the E500 since it would be much faster and the one I have is so much fun to drive....more power would make it even more fun! Everyone who has ssen it or been insode has loved the car. Several friends like it better than the rather large S class. The upgraded harden/karden sound system is worth the extra costs as it is incredible! The Nav system is great if you need it (I do.) Satalite radio is also available. Overall, I am proud to drive the vehicle and other than the sexy SL I think it

First the buying experience was exceptional & flawless. I live in NE PA & vehicle availabilty as well as professional salesmanship are not available. I also own an 04' C-240 4-Matic which led us to the E Class. My wife & I are both extatic with these two vehicles. I feel safe in these cars. They handle exceptionally well. Not a single problem with either. The size of the E vs. the C makes it firmer. The C is awesome in winter driving and look forward to the experience wthis winter with the E. DVD Nav is awesome. Wouldn't change a thing on my E. I traded an 03' Lexus ES300 which I liked, but the E is better. "I just love this car"

For those who don't understand the difference between a vehicle that is designed for 65 vrs 155 this review will not be of help. While most car makers give you glitz to fool you how good their vehicles are, MB simply makes it happen. Try stopping from 75 and ask yourself a question, was it me or the vehicle that just saved my butt! MB will continue to move on. Other are simply just poor copies.

I just bought the '05 E Class as a late B-day present to myself. I love the car so far. I have heard about the electronic gremlins in the car. Hopefully there aren't any in mine. The obsidian black paint is just gorgeous. I definetly reccomend the premium package. You get everything you need with that package except for the heated seats of course. I hope I am still in love with this car when I have to decide on getting the extended warranty. The appearance package is great. Except for the black wood trim, and the nasty looking rims. The stock rims look so much better. I wish they would bing back the window controls in the center. That was trademark mercedes!

Never driven such a smooth car before, you almost get tired, because there is nothing to do while you drive. Everythig is done for you.....the ride is the smoothest ever. Even my SOLO2 laser radar turns itself off because it can't tell that the car is driving

I did a lot of shopping around before I chose the E-class Mercedes. I don't feel that I could have found a better car for me. It's classy, but yet sporty at the same time. The sleek lines in its design, make the E-class a true eye catcher. I'm truly happy.

Have always wanted to own a new Mercedes, now we do. Previous car was a '01 E-320 & though we thoroughly enjoyed owning it, the '05 model is vastly improved. Thought about waiting for the new E-350, but felt very comfortable with the deal I got on this one.

I've had 3 Acura's & they have been very "Tight." No problems at all but my New 320E has been even better! There hasn't been ONE Problem in almost 4000 miles! Very quiet, great power and style. My gas mileage is better than my Acura, getting about 22 mph in the city & about 28 highway!

This car is awesome! The powerful V8 is silky smooth with responsive handling making this car an absolute joy to drive. The interior feels like it was well made and solid with sexy styling. When you slide into the car you immediately get the feeling of "luxury". In addition, it's packed with plenty of convenience features, too many to list. Definitely the best sedan I've ever owned!

My 2005 is the most exciting thing that I believe has happened to me in my entire life-maybe because it wasnt planned? Sure I'd rode in Mercedes many times with my girl friends fathers that all were surgeons. Never giving that a thought so many years later. I have owned many nice cars in my life. Id just never even thought to look or drive a Mercedes. A friend had it & was supposed to be bringing me an Equinox instead showed up with my Benz! Ive owned it for a year & I dont regret anything about it! Anyone thats ever road with me Always comments on how it feels as if were riding on air! I could drive this across the country and never get tired! Dependable, Sporty,Fast and has more bells & whistles than you have ever heard of! Solid excellent car!

Stay away from E320: Poorest quality

More problems than you can imagine with the computer, buttons falling off, phone not working. Worst navigation system (Acura & Lexus are better -- I have both). Car had a sticker of $62K new with options. Could have bought four Hundays for that. Made the mistake of buying the SCAM of an extended warranty when the original warranty expired. Nothing but excuses as to why something isn't covered. Hands free phone that came with car doesn't work. Now they are saying it's "trim" and not covered. Do yourself a favor and buy a Lexus. That's what I'm going to do. Mercedes "Summer of Love". Give me a break!

I tested everything including Infiniti M45, BMW 545 and Lexus 430. The Mercedes was far and away the most elegant. I bought the sport package, which gives dual exhaust, sport tuned suspension, and AMG wheels. The ride is firm, but not too hard on city streets, and performance on the winding canyon roads is awesome. I have a slight "clunk" in the stepdown from second to first gear which needs looking at. Other than that, it's the greatest car I have ever driven

My E-320 handles very smoothly on wet roads, snow covered roads, and under normal conditions with regard to acceleration, maneuvering in and out of traffic, and stopping ability. It is the best car I have had as to smooth "shifting". On a recent trip of over 1000 miles I averaged 26.2/miles per gallon with an average speed of 64 miles per hour.

i have owned my 05 E320 for six months and 13k miles. It is visually delightful-much more so than my 01 E 320-both inside and out. The car can best be described as seamless and unobtrusive. I own a ferrari and a zippy 911 which don't get much use because this car is so pleasant to drive. The power is very adequate, climate control is perfect, ride feels like an easy chair and the handling is nimble. I am on a three year lease and can't wait to get the E 350.

I have owned, in the past, BMW M3 and 540i, MB S500, etc. By far, this is my favorite car. Great balance of performance, luxury, size, and it is beautiful. I believe that the time of 5.8 seconds of 0-60 is accurate. The cornering ability, with maximum stiffness of suspension, rivals the BMWs. The fun factor is the tops. All in all, my favorite car of all times.

CLK + S Class = E500

After facing the prospect of a second set of tires on my 2002 CLK430 in less than 20,000 miles, I took a test drive in an E500. I couldn't believe how quiet, powerful and luxurious it was. Less than two hours later, I was driving my new E500 home. From the 6CD Bose sound system, to the adjustable suspension, each drive reinforces the fact that this is by far, the best car I've ever owned. Negatives are few, but I really don't like the gas/temp gauges. The car is the best looking in its class, but I would recommend black, looks great from any angle!

From start to finish, my buying experience was AWESOME! I was a very satisfied Lexus owner (SC300). But when I test drove my E320, there was no way I was going home without the car! I did drive the E500, but didn't feel an appreciable difference between a well-equipped E320 and the more powerful E500. I expected the E500 to be substantially different to justify the price ... but the sales guy and I agreed that the E320 was the best value. Seasoned MB owners will know that the way the car "hugs" you, the smooth acceleration, the smooth downshifting, the responsive engine... gosh, just everything is such a pleasure! Sorry Lexus, but I think your styling is rather dull ... MB rules!

After waiting to compare the new BMW 545 to the E500 and other also rans, I went with the E500 and have not been disappointed. No quality issues with mine. Very few nits to pick on. Performance is OUTSTANDING, unless the 5.8 sec 0-60 isn't good enough for you (go E55). The three position suspension is very handy - dials in the three settings I like (cruising, everyday, and attack). The 7 speed is a joy, and the comfort/style is timeless. The headlights are great, always eliciting delight from passengers. Seats (adaptive) are spectacular. Seat/steering wheel adjustments combine for the best ergonomic setting possibilities I've seen in a vehicle.

A tight, well balanced ride. Like most Mercedes, I had electrical problems and needed to have batteries replaced 4 times in the first 2 months I owned it. On the road it has good pickup with responsive and crisp steering. All inclusive with the fairly loaded configuration I specificed it set me back $76,000 and although I'm happy with the car, I feel I should have walked out of the showroom with at least another $10K in my pocket. Overall, the powerful engine combined with excellent handling makes for an exhibiliating and road worthy experience.

This is my first Mercedes and what a delight so far. I bought the E500 with the AMG Sport package (larger tires, special alloy wheels, E55 body panels, dual exhausts extensions, etc). The sport package really sets off the looks by giving it a bit more aggressive look while improving the handling of the car. It is very smooth and powerful for a car with just over 300 HP. This is the first new car that I have owned that has not needed any oil added so far (over 8K miles) based on the electronic oil measuring system.
